comfortable degrees right now. low 60s in reading and trenton. 69 on the boardwalks down by the shore. 71 by 8:00. noon, 81 the high will be 85 degrees reading at 3:00 p.m. the clouds are getting thicker and late day or evening shower possible down by the shore. looks like the showers will past to the south tonight that means most of the rain later tonight and tomorrow morning should be in south jersey and delaware, although philadelphia could catch a little bit of that. i'll show you that on future tracker 6 coming up next and we'll look at the models suggesting that. what about the roads karen. >> reporter: the roads are not as bad as they normally be, it's summertime. live i-95 southbound traffic starting to pick up. 15 minute ride southbound that's not bad overall on i-95.

speeds 35-mile an hour near girard. the schuylkill expressway is in good shape mostly in the 40s and 50s, moving along nicely. we have a problem with a disabled vehicle plymouth road at west germantown pike. an accidents on kiem street and industrial highway. the boulevard southbound getting busy southbound as you approach the schuylkill. overall clear and dry no weather-related problems this morning, tam. >> we're at the big board to talk about the pope's visit. what a smile look we've got 51 days, three hours before the pope is here. my advice if you want to be for all of this, if you have to be in center city invest in a new pear of sneakers. here's what why. the pope will be here for two days, during that time we'll have 25 miles of highway being closed. you see what's highlighted. these are called by the city

traffic boxes. you can drive if you're inside the boxes but once you go outside there's no driving back in. you can walk back in, but no driving. so i had to go to wawa, i had to get a cheese steak, i had to see mom. when you get there they won't let you back in. here's what's going to happen. a little bit of a difference here this traffic box will be closed actually that is wrong. that's 6:00 p.m. that closes down. spring garden, ridge avenue, girard over that way that's the northern border to the bottom, the border is south street. there's a smawrl -- smaller section, west philadelphia, university city that's 10:00 p.m. friday night september 26th. that evening after 6:00 p.m. you can't get in and out of the traffic box in your car. west philadelphia, university city that goes into place at 10:00 p.m. it kind of makes your head want to explode thinking about it. let's go over to katherine scott

live from the philadelphia art museum with more reaction. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam traffic boxes road closures people who live around here knew they are they were going to be disrupted, now that the closures and restrictions have been released many are planning ahead. traffic restrictions for the pope's visit are out and residents are learning about where they can and cannot go. >> private vehicles will not be a viable option on the weekend in center city. >> i've changed my plans. >> reporter: most of the road and bridge shut down takes place friday evening september 25th. the night before the pope arrives. getting around could be significant. >> coming into the city, or leaving the city will be hectic. >> reporter: no septa bus service or trolley service within the traffic boxings. bikes will be allowed in and

cloudy skies and there's a slight chance we see a sprinkle fire up or perhaps a shower in south jersey and southern delaware. this run of this model doesn't show that, but i can't rule it out. later tonight we'll see more rain. the steadier will be down toward the shore in south jersey and delaware. light stuff could pop up to philadelphia, and it could be here during the later evening hours and up to midnight and beyond. 81 degrees in the lehigh valley. sun and clouds. pleasant. that rain staying to the south you don't have to worry about any rain in the lehigh valley. at the shore increasing clouds, as i mentioned late-day rain is possible. if you're lucky it will hold off until later in the evening. the better chance of that the farther south you go along the coast. 85 is the high in philadelphia. clouds on the march as we go through the day light rain south of the city and getting up into philadelphia later this evening. winds north/northwest 8 miles per hour.

temperatures warm, 11:00 a.m., 80. 84 by 2:00. 85 degrees atmosphere 3:00 p.m. after midnight, the steadier stuff is down south. this model run has the rain getting away from us by noon. in actuality there's a possibility we see on and off showers continuing through much of the day down south. philadelphia dries out during the morning hours. models are not in agreement how much we get. one model things the low will be closer to us, we'll get .5 inches of rain. at the shore, most of the models are projecting more rain, again an indication the farther south you go the closer you are to the center of the rain-making low pressure center. increasing clouds today 85,

here 6:14 a.m. >> reporter: it is bright and beautiful i have to say. looking good out there today. the roads are clear we have no weather-related problems affecting you. we have good news heading your way. the schuylkill expressway westbound traffic at city avenue. traffic is moving okay at this point. normally a spot where we back up. that will happen shortly but not too bad just yet. overall we're seeing speeds in the 50s on the schuylkill expressway. got to love that summertime pattern. on i-95 we're looking at slower speeds 36 miles per hour at cottman. the first signs of slowing are at girard 28 miles per hour from allegheny to girard. watch for a slower go right there. the accident we had on 42 has cleared a little while ago. look at the delay, 42 northbound we have some of the normal morning building volume. things are looking better there. don't forget we've been tweeting out all the traffic
