life after bullets fly outside a nightclub in spring garden. the countdown is on, we're an hour away from the eagles preseason opener, we have team coverage. let's head outside to chris sowers. >> reporter: you couldn't ask for anything better if you're heading to lincoln financial field. the temperatures are in the 80s. the humidity is slightly higher than yesterday. but not bad. 84 in millville. 86 in reading you can lancaster, 84. you have to use your head the numbers climb into the 90s keep hydrated this afternoon and take frequent breaks if you're standing out in the sun, try to find the shade. satellite and radar, there's not a cloud in the sky, crystal clear, sunny. the game start 1:00 p.m., hot, humid, stay hydrated, 90 degrees

away. >> reporter: now our meteorologists predict the highs in the low 90s, if you're out here be safe, drink lots of water and put sunscreen on. as for the colts fan she said she will not be wearing her colts shirt inside the stadium. >> thanks, trish. we have new developments this noon on the disappearance of an indonesian airline with 54 people on board. villagers in the province of papua found the wreckage. the plane was on a 42 minute flight there was no distress call from the pilot, but there was bad weather in the area at the time. there is no information on whether anyone survived. philadelphia police are investigating shootings outside two nightclubs, one deadly. police say a 40-year-old man had just left the bar on the 1800

block of west cumberland street in north philadelphia when someone opened fire. the victim was hit several times, he died at the hospital. there are no systems in time case. people who live in a club in spring garden were forced to run for cover. the action cam at broad and popular street. hundreds were leaving the club at 2:30 when several men got into an argument. we're told two dozen shots were fired. a 24-year-old man was hit several times. medics rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. there's no word on whether any arrests have been made. a man is fighting for his life after his truck slammed into a gas station in camden county and caught fire. police say it happened around 2:30 when the pick up flew by an officer on route 130 in collingswood. the officer tried to catch up, but found the truck crashed into the speed line gas station on the brooklawn circle in brooklawn.

the truck hit the gas pump and both burst into flames. the officer put the fire out. scary night for two men with disabilities while their medical transport was stolen with them inside. the police say the driver noticed a light on in his house as he was passing by and pulled over to check it out when two other men walking down the street jumped in and took off. when they noticed two men with special needs in the back they stopped and let them out unharmed and began driving again. police are searching for the van and the guys who took it. faa is searching for a hot air balloon accident that injured three people in lincoln county. the basket was on the ground when the top of the balloon got tangled in electrical wires. it happened at 8:00 p.m. last

87, 84, it feels like 89, 88, 85, everybody else feeling the humidity except the city of philadelphia. that's where the biggest population is right now, so good, it feels better in the city, but it's humid for everybody else out there. satellite and radar showing clear conditions up and down the eastern seaboard, the mid atlantic, southeast states we're high and dry. high pressure remains in control. this guy right here is the heat pump high, responsible for heat wave number four. we're getting close to 90 right now forecasting 95 tomorrow. this will be the 4th heat wave of the year. it will bump the jet to the northwest, it will keep storm conditions well out of reach. that means conditions will stay dry over the next several days,

other than a hit or miss shower or thunderstorm, spotty at best, 30% chance. most of us stay dry. future tracker showing the heat indices values, low to mid 90s for everybody. monday is the peak of the heat. we'll see forecasted high of 94, 95. heat index will be a degree or two warmer than the actual air temperature. it will be uncomfortable for the next 24 to 36 hours. 85 degrees in the mountains, warm and sticky especially compared to yesterday. jersey shore it's a beauty down there, mostly sunny skies hardly a cloud in the sky. 85 degrees before the sea breeze kicks in. warm and humid, very, very nice, especially considering what we could see this time of year with showers and thunderstorms. we'll take today. 90 in lancaster. reading, 893. allentown, 92. trenton, 90. the cooler numbers believe it or not are actually south and east of the city.

computer glitch from an air traffic control computer. the flight center in washington, d.c. hands high attitude traffic. flights were scrubbed and hundreds of others were delayed for hours. many other flights had to be rerouted around washington. the all out battle against dozens of wildfires continues in the rockies to the pacific northwest and southern california. the washington fires are burning on three sides of a town and knocked out power to ten thousand people. one woman died after she hit her head trying to evacuate. one emergency team got only two of the nine air tankers they requested to knock down the fire they are trying to fight. the phils are hoping for a much-needed win in milwaukee. we'll have a preview next. the phillies face the

"action news," a camden woman is lucky to be alive after being rescued from the roof of her burning home. a man is in critical condition after a confrontation leads to a stabbing in juniata. imagine coming home to this, a bear trying to break in through a cat door, it happened to a man in idaho. it's not the first time.

philadelphia. several men approached the victim at m and erie. the man ran to a nearby super market and collapsed in the parking lot. no arrests have been made. camden police are investigating a shooting that sent three people including two teenagers to the hospital. the gunfire rang out after 12:30 on the 2700 block of yorkship road. police found a 16-year-old boy shot in the groin. a 22-year-old man and teenager were shot. the teen hit in the back. all three were rushed to the hospital. so far no word on a motive. in camden, firefighters had to rescue a woman from the roof of her home after a fire broke out. it appeared happened on the 700 block of woodland avenue around 2:30. when crews arrived they found flames shooting from the first floor and a woman screaming for help on the roof. a family of four had to be evacuated from an adjoining

home. so far no word on what started the fire. fire officials are warning people against swimming in the schuylkill river after an apparent drowning. a 50-year-old man was at a blues festival in manayunk when he went for a women and disappeared. crews searched by boat and air and found the man's body an hour later. the incident happened not far from where west chester yumpt university student shane montgomery drown. it is very dangerous to swim in the schuylkill because of the strong current. crews began work on what's left of the homes on 200 block of hills place. the blaze broke outfully night. a 22 -- broke out friday night. a 22-year-old 0 woman who was celebrating her birthday has

burned over 80% of her body. it was ruled an accident. long time civil rights activist, julian bond died in florida. he was on the front lines of civil rights protests. he served in the georgia state ledge literature and was a college professor. bond was 75 years old. art hassles been actual to the catholic church and it -- art has always been central to the catholic church, and so has the latest iconic work. >> i assume when someone is on stage and finish the song, they are waiting for the second the applause comes.

>> reporter: how about spike? there's the view in penns landing. it is nice and quiet this afternoon, but it's hot, the humidity is starting to increase. forecasting a high of 19 degrees in philadelphia. well above the seasonal average of 86. we started out at 72. well above the seasonal average for the low. allentown, 86. millville, 84. dover, 85. wilmington, checking in at 85 degrees. dewpoints, the way we measure the amount of moisture in the air. 60 is the benchmark. you get over 70 it's oppressive in the 50s it's comfortable. as you can see the numbers are well into the 60s. philadelphia, 62 we call that -- classify that as slightly humid. you get out here in the western suburbs, reading, 678. wilmington, 66. dover, 67. the shorepoints mid 60s. you notice the change in the air

mass. it's starting to become thicker and thicker. satellite and radar showing nothing until we go wired when we see the weather appear across the high plains. this is a cold front. this is where the forecast gets tricky. the latest computer model information coming in suggest the high, yesterday the high was going to stay in place for the next search to ten days. this latest information suggests this clips the high, cools us down into the mid to upper 80s. wednesday, thursday and friday, things pull back and then this sprouts again and we surge into the 90s. we'll see what happens over the next 12 to 24 hours. i didn't want to make any drastic changes in the forecast until we see the runs come in. heat wave yesterday day number one. 91 degrees, today, easily top

charles free falling from the sky after jumping out of the plane at 12,000 feet. >> it's great. it's hard to explain with a thrill. >> reporter: with an experienced diver guiding him, charles made his jump with two grandchildren on a whim. he tried to take it all in as he plummeted to earth. >> actually the free fall was bumpy. after the parachute opened he manuvered it all around so you can see the country side. >> reporter: some people think an 85-year-old must be a little crazy to jump out of a plane. but he said he dibility lose -- loss his sense of adventure. charles has been married to terry for 64 years. you think he is crazy? >> yeah. definitely.

"action news," indonesia officials say villagers found the wreckage of an airline that lost contact. the turboprop was carrying 54 people including five children. a man is in critical condition this noon after being stabbed multiple times in juniata section of philadelphia. police say he was stabbed during a confrontation with several men at the intersection of m and erie streets. no arrests have been mailed.
