you, 5:30, saturday, may 14. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." someone shot an innocent bystander after a fight at a philadelphia bar gets out of hand. details straight ahead. one person faces charges after a railroad spike is thrown from an overpass and lands on to a car's windshield. plus, more rain, we're keeping our eye on the sky today as showers move into the region. meteorologist chris sowers is here with the accuweather forecast to help you plan your day. showers again?

>> reporter: this is it, though. i promise this is it. >> reporter: let's get you outside and show you what's going on. what a stretch of weather, three weeks now we can't turn the faucet off. we have a gusty round of thunderstorms this afternoon, after that we see the return of sunshine next week and a lot warmer in the temperature department. 5 degrees in philadelphia. not too bad. 50 in allentown. reading, 51. 49 in lancaster, 52 in millville. upper 50s south and east. this is a pretty potent cold front that could bring hefty thunderstorms to the area, strong gusty winds and pea-sized hail and downpours. the white on the radar is snow across northern portions of

a dispute inside the triple play bar spilled into the streets. the men started shooting one another. a bullet hit the man in the arm and the bullet traveled to his chest. the victim was taken to the hospital. he is in critical, but stable condition. a railroad spike went through a car's front windshield and into the dashboard of a car always it went under the overpass in university avenue. charges are being considered against the man who threw the spike. four cars were struck. one victim went after the suspect and stopped him for the police. i decided to go up on the train tracks. when i want up on the train tracks, i saw a young guy walking fast toward me, i tried to say it was somebody else that was throwing something off the

bridge. officers say the suspect will facing a -- aggravated assault and other offenses. arsonist set a car on firey yesterday evening. "action news" obtained this surveillance video which allegedly captures a man leaving the scene. if you have any information about the case, call police. this morning there's a warning from wildlife workers in fairmont park several people spotted a black bear swimming and wandering near the wissahickon creek. a man was fishing when he noticed the bear, he said he was shocked, once he realized he was safe he snapped a few pictures. if he came near me i would have been up to the waist in my water. use caution when you're

hiking and keep dogs on a leash. the bear a possibly looking for a mate and wandered too far. time now 5:35, things are about to get hectic for drivers in delaware county. septa project is in process that could wrinkle in travel plans. john rawlins has that story. >> reporter: everyone is learning about what's dubbed the summer shut down. starting next month, trains will stop calling at four stations there will be shuttle buses to swathmore and 20 minute longer commute. what are they doing? they are replacing the aging crumb creek viaduct inside the blue route. it dates to the 1890. this bridge is definitely past its prime, it's 121 years old.

"good morning america" weekend will have hoar on the steps taken to alleviate the problems. bill cosby has asked the supreme court to have his sex case thrown out. the montgomery county district attorney county go back on the word of his predecessor who promised cosby would not be charged. else accused of assaulting a former temple employee at his home in elkins park. a tentative agreement has been reached to save atlantic city from financial collapse. it would give the leaders see days to come up with a plan to cut spending in half before the state steps in to take over. a formal bill has not yet been introduced. atlantic city is $550 million in debt. could conspirator in the

5:43, new this morning the search guard is searching for a woman missing from a crews ship. video shows her falling overboard at 2:00 a.m. yesterday. the search is happening off the coast of galveston, texas. prom night took a terrifying turn for a group of teenagers in massachusetts when their limo burst into flames. ten teens were on the their way to the big dance when smoke and fire started coming through the cabin. the driver pulled over and everyone got out safely. the teens were picked up by another group that was heading to the prom. it is not clear what caused the fire. whoa. on the way to prom, that's not good, right?

there's our 55. 58 along the jersey shore. millville, 52. there's a potent cold front pushing through the great lakes states and the northern portion of the ohio valley. the air behind the front is so cold we're seeing snow developing across northern michigan otherwise it's rain falling in detroit and cleveland and cincinnati. as it charges east it will move into an unstable air mass across the mid atlantic and northeast that will produce showers and storms. behind the front. it turns sharply cooler, high temperatures, north and west, in the upper 50s, and center city 60 or 61. you add a stiff breeze out of the north/northwest it will feel like the 50s all day. we're starting out with a ton of sunshine this morning right through lunchtime. the whole area, a nice start to
