of the stories we're following on "action news" at 12:30. one of 6 baltimore police officers charged in the arrest and death of freddie gray has been found not guilty of all charges. details on today's verdict next. president obama is in vietnam vowing to leave behind the troubled history with our former warren me. as the world watch madonna's tribute to prince, more information is revealed about the singer's tragic death. a baltimore police officer was acquitted in the charges in connection with the arrest of freddie gray. it was a blow to the prosecutors who were trying to hold the police officer account in the young man's death. the assault charges carried a penalty of ten years in prison.

freddie gray died in april after being transported in a police van during his arrest. investigator determined gray was handcuffed and shackled in the van, but was not wearing a seat belt. nero was one of the 6 officers charged in connection with the case. we'll continue to follow the story all day on "action news" and online at 6abc.com. back here now, the search is on for the person who gunned down a 14-year-old boy and wounded two others in chester. family members identified the teenager killed and "action news" reporter, annie mccormick spoke with his mother this morning and has this report. police do not think the teenagers were the intended targets. detectives are expected back out here today in the neighborhood to see if there are any witnesses that would come forward with information. they will be out here to see if there were any surveillance video. stephanie powell has a message for her son's killer, zenas

powell was caught in the cross shooting in chester. >> reporter: it's hard to see my baby hurt. >> reporter: his cousin was critically injured and jenene shipley was critically wounded. shipley was talking to the teens outside the corner store. they knew there were kids out there, no remorse, no nothing they didn't care. >> reporter: nas was with a group with his brother and cousin. he was set to graduate 8th grade from chester community charter school. the charter school will cover funeral expenses for the family. police have no arrests and have not identified any suspects but his family said people know and need to come forward. nas made good old mark on everybody's heart in the 14

years of his life. >> reporter: the city of chester is offering a 5,000-dollar reward for any information that leads to an arrest. reporting in chester, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." grief counselors at a south jersey high school today after a 17-year-old was hit and killed over the weekend. ricardo patterson of willing bore is accused of causing the crash that killed this young man antwan timbers junior. students say antwan was in the rotc and set to graduate next month. new information about a home break in in philadelphia's roxborough neighborhood. a man woke up with someone tapping his gun and -- tapping his head and pointing a gun at him. he threatened 7-year-old son.

this morning in philadelphia. in allentown we did dip to 49 degrees, same thing in trenton, so a typically cool start. we're at 70 degrees in philadelphia. a little farther to the south where the clouds are thicker, washington, d.c. springles and showers nearby. only 68 there. up in the coast in new york city all the way up to 74 as you're farther away from the storm center and related cloud cover. as we go through the rest of the afternoon it does look nice. 74 is the high, we'll hit that around 2:00 p.m. i could see the clouds fill in a little bit and we'll get spotty showers in the afternoon. at 4:00 p.m., 72. 6:00 p.m., 70. however not everybody will see the showers later today and tonight. they will be spotty at times you might be wet. by the way we're down into the low 60s after that in the upper 50s. when i step inside we'll talk

good. storm tracker 6 live we are dry right now, the blip of precipitation over to the west of wilmington is actually moving away from the region. so right now, anyway we are dry, as we take a look outside we have a mix of sun and clouds at the airport and across the region. in fact clouds thicker the farther south you go through the region. a couple of highlights to talk about. for a change they are highlights. today we'll get to the mid 70s. spotty showers i'll show you in a moment. upper 70s on tuesday, wednesday mid 80s that is where we'll stay for a good long while straight through the holiday weekend. winds running at 3 miles per hour. temperature 670 degrees. satellite and radar showing you how there is that shower activity that rotated through earlier. now there's additional moisture wrapping around the coast it's a cut off low that doesn't wants to go anywhere. as we go through the later afternoon and evening hours there's a chance of additional rain. so future tracker 6 picking that

dark, 61 by 10:00 p.m. the overnight low down to 58. then tomorrow it looks like a bit of a warmup, high pressure building in from the west. that low will try to circulate away from us, we could have a spotty shower or odd thunderstorm. the big story we're getting warmer, 77 degrees and shooting on up from there. today's high, 74. spotty showers possible. 77 is the high tomorrow, shower or thunderstorm at times. i think tomorrow is mainly dry. wednesday, sunny and very warm. high of 84 degrees humidity should be on the low side and wednesday is my pick of the week. get out there and enjoy it. thursday, warm and humid, clouds and sun, 87 degrees, getting close to 90 for the first time this year. we have a chance of thunderstorm popping up thursday afternoon. it's more of the same heading into the holiday weekend. 86 friday, 84 sticky on saturday, 83 on sunday, clouds and sun all three days.
