day in a swimming hole in pigeon creek. lawmen are trying to close in on a suspect. dann cuellar is live with more. >> reporter: well, after releasing the images of the jewelry and clothing she was wearing, they were able to identify her through her mother and now they are trying to track down the people they was last seen with or talking to on the phone. the victim is identified as 24-year-old ryan benjamin of pottstown. and she was just starting her career in pre-k education. she was socialable and out going and well loved in the area. >> her body was found tied to a cinder block in east coventry township. there was no gun shot wounds or signs of strangulation, and no

water in her lungs, indicating she was dead before being dumped in the water. >> sometime on memorial day she was with different people and anyone with her needs to check in with the chester detectives so we can rebuild her entire weekend. her body was found about a mile from where she lives. >> he is out there sweating and it's longer he stays out there the worse it looks for him. he has to come in and tell the authorities what happened. >> the cause of death is not yet determined. ryan benjamin was a teacher at a warwick child center in the area. anyone with contact with her over the weekend is asked to call the d.a.'s office. >> thank you. philadelphia police are trying to track down the hit and run driver who struck and killed a teenager last night in hunting

park. police say he was rundown in front of his girlfriend. it's a tragic story. "action news" reporter, sara bloomquist is live at the scene of the accident at old york road. >> of my shoulder is the auto body shop where 18-year-old kevin worked after high school. they put balloons and candles outside of the auto body shop. and classmates and friends are gathering here throughout the day. and the driver that hit him in the stolen vehicle is still on the run. the video from outside of poppy and sons auto body shop shows the moment he was hit by a car. shortly before 9:00 you see the 18-year-old standing outside having a conversation and then walks into the road to get in the passenger side of the truck. and then a white prius coming at

a high rate of speed hit him. he worked at the shop and dated the owner's daughter. >> shop owner heard the impact and thought it only hit the truck and then saw him lying in the street some 30 feet away and suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead. >> beautiful guy. beautiful guy. quiet. working. i love this guy. >> they found the prius that hit him around the corner on the 1500 block of west pike street shortly after the crash. records show it had been stolen some time ago. police are not sure who was behind the wheel but neighbors are familiar with the car and a woman that usually drives it and investigators want to talk to her. >> turn themselves in and make it right. we want justice for what they did. he was too young. >> the family is planning to

gather for a prayer vigil here tonight at 8:00. live in hunting park, i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a water main break in center city philadelphia disrupted septa's regional rail service through suburban station today and several "action news" viewers sent video of the gushing water on 18th and market. it happened near the construction site of the new comcast tower. the water spilled down on to the tracks at suburban station causing significant delays. the cause of the break is still under investigation. police and fire officials have an arson mystery on their hands in german town. the fire last night at an apartment for elderly citizens is the fourth arson at that location since april. chad pradelli is live at the apartments.

>> reporter: jim, you not only had the arson last night but and attempted arson earlier in the day and residents are on edge hope they go catch whoever is responsible. >> this is where someone set a fire in here. >> lee can't take the late night evacuations or the worry of a fatal fire that consumes her after an arsonist tried to torch the hamill hill apartments since april. >> i am looking for another apartment. >> the philadelphia fire department is spending the morning developing a plan. they have been small, two in the lobby and two in the elevator. it could create problems in the old warehouse especially because it houses the elderly and disabled. >> i was in a wheelchair and had to crawl down the steps to come down to safety.

bonnie, it's actually strengthened back to a tropical depression and that will be heading back out to sea but parts of cape hatteras, 7 to 8 irnlgs of rain and now a cold front. it's over ohio. we have a scattering of showers and thunderstorms ahead of that. increasing clouds tonight and fog along the coast, could be dense. 62 in the suburbs and 65 for center city. future tracker 6 showing say good-bye to the sunshine tomorrow morning. lots of clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms possible that could really slow down your morning commute, i don't think everyone will see them but those that do we could have a brief heavy downpour. heading into the afternoon we could see peeks of sunshine and we'll see pop-up showers and a thunderstorm and much stronger system heading in on sunday. the better of the two days this weekend is definitely saturday.
