salutes all veterans and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. >> good morning, everyone, 5:30, november 11. let's go over to david murphy and karen with weather and traffic. >> reporter: we're clear, lots of stars out, a few clouds from the northwest, overall we'll maintain mostly sunny skies with the clouds letting sun through for the day. 49 in wilmington and allentown, 47 in millville. 54 in cape may. the winds not that strong, 13 miles per hour noticeable in philadelphia. most of the time you'll have single digit winds in the morning rush hour. we get a quick rise in temperatures. 10:00 a.m., 56. noon, 62. high of 63 comes around 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. but then the winds pick up, they turn in from the northwest and colder air comes in. 59 by 3:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m., all the way down to 49 and dropping into the low 40s by the time you come out of the move theater later tonight. with the winds picking up it will be blustery. if you're out around midnight, it will be cool and chilly. what are the roads looking like karen. >> reporter: we're dry and clear, for friday morning what more could you ask. conshohocken northbound traffic moving on the schuylkill expressway. no problems, we have an issue on the schuylkill expressway be westbound a disabled vehicle pushed off to the side not causing too much of a problem. no problems speeds moving nicely in the 50s on the blue route, as well as, i-95. usually the first starts of slowing there, haven't seen that just yet. 0 miles per hour on the walt whitman bridge watch for that -- 0 miles per hour on the walt whitman bridge. watch for that.

vehicle, i'll get back to that part of the story in a moment. right now we're off oxford circle in northeast philadelphia. this happened around 4:45 a.m. apparently the victim drove to the sunoco for help after being shot 4 blocks away on is saul street. after the man was shot in the side he got into his car and while he was driving away hit several parked cars. apparently the owners of the park car didn't reallies there was a shooting, they saw -- didn't realize there was a shooting. they saw him leave and followed him to the gas station. he was speaking spanish, they didn't understand what they was trying to tell them, they realized he was shot. police were called, they rushed him to einstein medical center. we don't know his exact condition, but police say he was conscious. investigators have not said if they have a description or

information about the suspect. they believe the shooting happened 4 blocks away on saul street, they did find shell casings, police are holding the scene over on saul. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> it is veterans day, we're hearing that they are he hopeful about a trump's presidency. vets were out celebrating 241st anniversary of the marine corps last night. many vets in philadelphia struggle navigating the va's red tape. >> it's overcrowded it's kind of a shame. i hope he keeps his promise. >> we have a president-elect now who stands behind the veterans of this country. >> and it polls show vets played a critical role in trump's victory. happening today, cities

west/southwest at 13 miles per hour. lack of clouds sunny start, some of the clouds my sneak through at times, but generally speaking it will be mostly sunny with high clouds and the sun manages to pump -- punch through a little bit. we'll get a high of 63 around 1:00 p.m. or so. then the winds will turn off the northwest bringing in cooler air in. by 3:00 p.m. when you get your highs we'll be dropping to 59. by 5:00 p.m., 53. as soon as 6:00 p.m. we could be in the upper 40s. as the temperatures crop, the -- drop, the winds will get stronger and stronger. by late day and tonight we'll get winsdz over 30 miles per hour -- winds over 30 miles per hour. 63 is the high, very early high. 59 in allentown. 60 in reading. 63 later on in millville. down the shore it might be 3:00 p.m. where you're holding

deadly hit-and-run in atlantic city on thursday of last week. they said 27-year-old carlos ariaga struck the 37-year-old woman and took off. the crash happened by the bay view motel at 7:00 a.m. his whereabouts are unknown. a texas high school student said she was paddled for not standing during the pledge of allegiance. a substitute teacher sent her to the principal's office. she was given the choice of detention or paddling, she chose to be paddled. >> we're supposed to be a nation under god, that's not what we are right now. i don't feel i want to represent that. >> school superintendent said we never punish the student for not standing for the pledge, we punish students who are disruptive in class.

been charged with robbing a bank. he gave a note to a teller at an td bank saying he had a gun. a brawl occurred at building 21 school, a 16-year-old male and female student started fighting, one student called adult families in to help. there were emergency meetings since the incident. >> a student let adults into the buildings. after they came into the building they started hitting on students and started beating on anybody. it was a free for all. >> parents and students joined staff discussing what happened and looking into how we can put in place protocols and procedures to make sure these
