to the north. you can see there's not a lot of cloud cover around this morning and we are expecting a bright start. it's on the chilly side. 42 degrees in philadelphia, 42 in trenton, 40 in wilmington and down to 37 in allentown. not far above the freezing mark in reading. below freezing in millville. 51 cape may. winds not all that strong this morning, only 6 miles per hour in philadelphia and they're all coming in from the west and that's going to encourage temperatures to bounce back up a little bit this afternoon. 41 degrees under the sun by 7 o'clock, 51 by 10 o'clock, by noon 59 degrees again winds on the light side and then 3 o'clock your high is 63 degrees before sliding back to 56 at 6 o'clock. we've got a nice stretch of weather ahead, extending into the weekend but then some weekend changes coming. i'll have details on that coming up. karen. >> looking live in center city where all lanes still blocked no traffic moving on the vine street expressway with the construction still closing it overnight t it should be clear by about 5 o'clock in the morning and crews will return again tonight at 11:00 and shut the vine down in both

directions. looking live on the roosevelt boulevard extension at ridge avenue. that's your southbound traffic. no overnight construction. all lanes opened. pretty good smooth ride. we're dry this morning so there's some good news, too. on the pennsylvania turnpike we do have a problem here the a vehicle fire blocking the right lane and the shoulder. expect some slowing eastbound on the turnpike between willow grove and bensalem. currently speeds are mostly in the 60's but you might hit a slow spot as you're passing crews on the scene with that vehicle fire. also in bucks county oxford valley road near route one overnight construction having some restrictions here. traffic is just squeezing by matt and tam. >> developing on "action news" several townhomes in delaware county went up in flames overnight. the intense fire caused a roof to collapse. a firefighter was hurt while battling this two alarm blaze. "action news" reporter gray hall joins us live from the scene in aston with more. gray. >> reporter: well, matt a frightening and dangerous situation for several families

and firefighters respond to the scene. it is still quite the active scene as firefighters try to continue to figure out what caused this fire several hours ago. let's take you to video we shot not too long ago. this two alarm fire damaged four townhomes and injured one firefighter. we're told that as she came out of this home she collapsed. that firefighter will be okay. just moments ago i got word that she was injured to one of her legs so she had a leg injury but she will be okay and as our cameras were rolling she was alert and when medics transported her to the hospital. the fire started about 11 o'clock on bernie highway and linda lane inside the reserve development. as a precaution the entire row home was actually evacuated. we know the roof on one of those homes actually collapsed. two townhomes had extensive damage and two others had smoke and water damage. now, back out live there were no other injuries reported outside that of one firefighter who had an injury to her leg. we can tell you that nine

individuals were displaced because of this fire. but again, the good news is no other injuries outside that of firefighter who had the injuries to her leg. at this point the cause of this fire still under investigation. live in aston delaware county gray hall channel6 "action news." >> firefighters quickly doused the flames at a home in the brewerytown section. one inside though they found a woman 80 years old dead. chopper6 was above scene on the 1400 block of north hollywood street last night. it took firefighters just 15 minutes to douse the flames. crews found the woman on the living room floor. >> a bullet new through a television hitting a 69-year-old man inside a philadelphia home. this happened on the 2600 block of north stanley street in the city's strawberry mansion section yesterday evening. police say harry haskins was visiting a friend when at least six shots were fired into the front window. the homeowner says he was upstairs shaving. haskins was shot once in the right shoulder. he's expected to be fine. >> he's 69 years old.

normally people don't shoot at 69-year-old men but are sitting watching tv at a friend's house. we believe he's an innocent victim wrong place at the wrong time. >> police believe a younger man who lives in the house was the intended target. that man was not home at the time. >> ♪ >> happening today, funeral services will be held for a western pennsylvania police officer who was killed in the line of duty. 52-year-old scott basciom was shot in killed back on thursday. funeral service will be held today in his hometown of washington, pennsylvania. he was a seven year veteran of the force an military veteran. he leaves behind a wife and four children. >> a veteran eagles football player went to capitol hill speaking his mind on racial tension and police brutality. malcolm jenkins joined four other nfl players in

washington yesterday. jenkins says change begins with knowledge and he wanted to learn more about policies and laws in the nation's capitol and he plans to return for further talks in the off season. >> four:36 now. a west virginia mayor has resigned over a racist social media post about the the united states first lady. hear how officials in the town responded to the hateful message. >> also ahead is there trouble in donald trump's transition team. word on who is no longer a part of the effort to head to the white house. david. >> we've got clear skies but only 39 on the bus stop and 42 by 8:00 a.m. so perhaps a little extra gear on the kids. i neglected to put a hat on them. there's not much wind but they might want that with these low temperatures. it will rebound nicely in the afternoon. i'll have details in the exclusive accuweather 7-day.

>> two armed robbers attempted a holdup a bucks county pizza shop but the night quickly went awry for them as a customer fought back. now one of those robbers is dead the other wounded. let's go right to "action news" reporter katherine scott. she joins us from middletown township police department with the details. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that's right, police say two would be robbers were shot by a customer as they tried to rob a pizza place in levittown. one of those was robbers died at the scene. the other is in serious condition. last night in levittown you can see investigators on the scene of that shooting. it happened inside porfirio's. middletown township police say two men walked into the please pizza shop planning to rob it. both were armed with handguns. a customer and two employees were inside. they were told to get on the

ground at which point the men started pistol whipping the customer and that's when police say the customer pulled out a handgun and shot both of the robbers. one was slot in the chest and died at the scene. the other was shot in the shoulder and neck. he was he was taken to saint mary's medical center in serious condition and was going to be transported to jefferson. >> we're going see if the gun is registered to him or who it's registered to and also if he had a valid permit to carry and we're still working to determine that as of right now. >> reporter: and those two employees and the customer escaped with no serious injuries. police are checking for nearby surveillance footage. live in langhorne katherine scott, channel6 "action news. matt. >> thanks, katherine. winter begins in a little more than a month and the makers avenue new app respect ready to clear your drive way a toronto based company released the app called eden when which allows you to hire schedule and pay for an insured contractor to clear your pavement for you. costs about $40 to clear a two car drive way through eden.

by 10 o'clock 51. by noon still very bright, 59 degrees the high there. by 3 o'clock 63 degrees and that will be your high this afternoon before we dip back down to 58 by 5 o'clock. so a-pretty pleasant november afternoon and once again above average temperatures today. 62 in allentown, 63 in that reading, 63 in wilmington, 62 in trenton, 62 in millville and down the shore in cape may about 62 on the thermometer there as well. i want to just point out to you that later in the afternoon and evening hours we are going to see a few more clouds develop and there might just be a little pop-up sprinkle just in a couple of cases. most of you are going to stay dry. if you see there i want you to know it's not really amounting to anything but don't say we didn't tell if you about it. just slow down if you get any moisture on the roads and november so far has been doing pretty well. you can see all of these days highlighted in orange those were above average highs and so far for the month we're running 2 degrees above average. does that change any time soon? not for the rest of the work week nor the beginning of the weekend. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, lots of sun today, mild, 63 degrees is

your high. and then still very nice on thursday, 62. keep in mind that the average highs are in the mid-50's in through here. sunny and milder on friday. we have a shot all the way up to about 67 for a high there. and now it looks like clouds will build as saturday goes on but we still should have enough sunshine to help us get up to about 66. and then at night there's the chance of a shower. again, saturday looks pretty good for the philadelphia half marathon. for the full marathon on sunday, though, a completely different profile. we've got a lot of clouds in play. it will be blustery and colder an afternoon high of only 49 degrees but strong winds rolling through while you're doing the marathon and there might be a couple of pop-up showers during the day. then we get to reality. brisk and chilly on monday just 46 and inching back to 48 under the sun on tuesday. remember when we're not on the air you can always get the latest weather information by going to 6abc.com/weather. and it's going to be mainly good weather for the next several days before we start to encounter those big changes this weekend and by the way in the poconos on saturday night

we might even see a little wet snow. >> okay. >> wow. >> the first in our region. >> yeah. >> thank you david. operations returning to normal after a deadly shooting at an airport in oklahoma city. police say the suspect in that shooting was found dead in a pickup truck in an airport parking garage of the the suspect was wanted for killing 52-year-old michael winchester. he worked for southwest airlines and was the father of james winchester the center for the kansas chiefs. no one else was hurt and police are still trying to determine a motive in why he was shot. classes back to normal at a utah high school where five boys were stabbed in a locker room a16-year-old student for some reason began to stab his classmates before cutting himself in the neck. none of the injuries were deemed to be life-threatening. the suspect was treated and then taken into police custody. police believe that this was just a random act. >> work on president-elect donald trump's transition to the white house may have hit another speed bump. there are reports of in

fighting. vice president elect mike pence met with trump yesterday in an effort to fill out key posts in the cabinet. former michigan representative mike rogers once considered a candidate to lead the cia has parted ways with the transition team and this comes after governor christie was replaced as transition leader. cnn also reports the in fighting surrounds trump's son-in-law not seen here jared kushner. >> new this morning, a west virginia mayor has resigned after outcry over her response to a racist facebook post about first lady michelle obama. clay county employee pamela ramsey posted a statement on facebook referring to the lady as "an ape in heels quote. the now former mayor responded positive to that post. the clay town counsel accepted whaling's resignation yesterday. >> a lot of toxic election... talk about rural america not being represented and this is not how we want to be represented and if we wants to
