looking at mostly sunny skies. the big story is the surge of air coming up from the south and we'll get mild later. 35 degrees in philadelphia. 30s, allentown, reading, lancaster, millville. 50 degrees on the nose in cape may. winds out of the northwest just a tad, but still fairly light at this point and eventually turning out of the south and that's going to warm us up this afternoon. 51 by 10:00 a.m. noon, 61 degrees, that will be nice, well up over the average high. the high today will be 68 degrees at 3:00 p.m. we'll fall pretty quick to 58 degrees by 6:00 p.m. if you have plans to go out this evening you'll want are a jacket or coat. karen rogers we'll have the weekend call that includes the change for sunday. vine street expressway closed in both directions for construction. no westbound or eastbound traffic moving just yet. watch for that on the vine.

the closures in place. no major problems on the blue route, moving in the 50s pretty good, schuylkill expressway, 40s and 50s and i-95 in good shape. knob construction at academy road it just cleared out. northbound they cleared out, the camera spinning around, you can see the construction crews backing up and picking up the cones. in the meantime we do see cones blocking the two right lanes right there. we have constructions blocking all lanes at route 1 at oxford valley road. stick to business route 1. this caused a lot of headaches, people on twitter were talking to me about it. stick to business route 1. >> on the scene of a homicide in hamilton township mercer county. katherine scott live from

genesee street. >> reporter: it's early in the investigation, police have not released details about what happened overnight. this happened around midnight. you can see at the hour, genesee street in hamilton township is closed off. there are multiple police on the scene. hamilton police responded and looked for evidence. what led up to the homicide is unclear. there's no word as to the motive or if they know who is behind the homicide. so far police have not said if they found nearby surveillance video helpful in the investigation. they remain on the scene at this hour. the identity of the victim has not been released stay with "action news" as we continue to follow the breaking story out of ham to know -- hammonton township. >> a house in north philadelphia was shot up with three women inside sleeping. investigators found 11 shell

casings on the 2700 block of west silver street. none of the people inside were injured. police are searching for the shooter. two people are in custody being questioned about a body discovered in the city's holmesburg section. a 0 body of a man was discovered on the 8000 block of frankford avenue. the victim was in front of the building that houses a dental office on the first floor and apartments on the second. three people can be seen on surveillance video dragging the body out of the building. >> detectives are questioning a man and woman who tried to snatch a purse in northeast philadelphia. police want to know if they are the same teens who snatched purses earlier this month. police say be a ware.

two cars collided in montgomery county hitting a pole on belmont avenue. investigators say the injuries are not life threatening. a car carrier truck came barreling down a narrow street in north philadelphia sideswiping seven vehicles. the driver hit one parked car after another along princeton avenue and turned the corner and did more damage. after causing that mess, the driver took off turning this into a criminal hit-and-run case. president-elect donald trump is working to fill out his cabinet. he is taking meetings at trump tower in new york city including some with former rivals. >> reporter: from foes to friends, president-elect trump is making peace with formal rival mitt romeny a republican
