under arrest for dui, he smashed into parked cars and left the scene. >> it's windy and cold out there, david. >> reporter: a wind advisory has been extended through 7:00 p.m. all day throughout the area. wind gusts could go up to 40, 45 miles per hour. this cse you a problem with debris on roads maybe trees coming down today and tree branches in the highways and byways. on radar you can detect snow showers in new york state and northeastern pennsylvania. wouldn't be out of the question if the poconos picks that up. it is cold, 38 in philadelphia. 36 in allentown. 36 in reading. 37 in wilmington, trenton and millville. when you factor in the wind it feels like the 20s. so bundle up. we've got a couple of 30-degree windchills down south, but most of us feeling like the 20s this morning.

as we go through the next 12 hours it's chilly. 36 degrees by 7:00 a.m. noon, 41. the high of 45 hits it at 3:00 p.m. even then we'll have windchills in the 30s. loosms tomorrow is another -- looks like tomorrow is another windy one across the region, but not as bad as today. the temperatures come up in time for thanksgiving, but we're looking at clouds and touch of rain. details in accuweather. >> reporter: we look at the camera and see why the advisory did not expire yet. the camera isic shahing at this- shaking at this point. i-95 33 miles per hour southbound through the work zone. no red zones along the schuylkill expressway or the boulevard. still moving okay. however we're watching accidents, 422 eastbound by 100 as you head towards pottstown,

midday work coming to 422 near pottstown, as well. there's an overturned vehicle crash at buster road at skippack pike. a bunch of downed trees one at willow grove 611 southbound, first presbyterian church that's cleared out of the way. if you're heading to the dallas diner in levittown watch out for a crash at edgily pike and bristol road. we have a fire location along weinberg place in trenton along with blowing smoke impact be nearby streets, as well. >> matt, we'll stick with that, as well. a massive fire in trenton, new jersey. one home has collapsed. the entire block may end up in ruin. katherine scott is live along the scene of the 6-alarm fire at weinberg place. >> reporter: matt we got an

update from the deputy fire chief. he said the fire is not under control. the flames have spread to nine houses. three of them have collapsed. 6 of them are in a state of collapse. two people were injured, we don't know their conditions at this time. i'll get out of the way you can look at the scene in trenton. there are number of fire department vehicles on the scene as they continue to battle the blaze here in trenton. every unit in trenton is here, plus, mutual aid from mercer county and surrounding communities they called in a fire quader nature from mercer county to -- coordinator from mercer county to help coordinate all this. the call came in after 3:00 a.m. when firefighters arrived four homes were engulfed. they ran into problems right away, they had to pull back due to live wires on the ground.

pse&g responded to shut off power to the whole grid. the fire spread to nine homes. three have collapsed. 6 are in a state of collapse. cars are burning. several of them have been destroyed according to the deputy fire chief. thick smoke in the surrounding streets. there were reports of burn injuries, two people were transported to the hospital. we don't know what condition they are in. we've been speaking to several residents here people who woke up they saw the flames and got out and they said they spread very quickly. >> i was smelling something, i want back to bed, i keep smelling something i look through the window it was my neighbor's house on fire, i woke up my husband and we came outside and knocked on doors of other people, the fire keep coming. >> reporter: and she is one of

the several residents we spoke to this morning, they saw the flames and got out very fast, some of them have shoes on their feet, some don't. they had to get out of their homes quickly. they don't know where they are going to go. red cross is on the scene. they are working to get a count on how many people were in the homes. at least one of the homes may have been abandoned. we're waiting for confirmation from the deputy fire chief on that. flames have spread to 9 homes in trenton, three have collapsed and we have reports of a few injuries. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> quiet the scene, thank you. we're following breaking news in woodbury gloucester county. annual "action news" viewer sent this photo of firefighters arriving to the multi-alarm braise. the fire wroak out at 3 -- broke out at 3:30 a.m. it damaged several homes and

brought wires down. one person jumped from a second-story window. the action cam is live and patrol units are keeping an eye on brush that ignited due to heavy winds. the entire block was evacuated as a precaution. new on "action news," a young man is on the mend after being shot twice. gunfire rang out on the 2900 block of turners street. police say someone shot the 22-year-old man in the thigh and the hand. emergency workers transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition. two suspects were seen running toward oxford street. they are working to figure out a motive. a delaware county mayor is facing dui charges, plus witnesses say he tried to flee the scene of an accident. upland borough mayor michael ci ac -- ciaac left the scene of

from trenton, new jersey. officials evacuated an entire city block because of a 6-alarm fire on weinberg place. nine homes damaged, three collapsed. our katherine scott is there an will bring us a live report at 6:30. >> matt pellman continues the coverage of the fire scene. >> reporter: weinberg place is not a busy thorough fair in trenton. but the surrounding streets are. the fire is centered on weinberg place near brunswick avenue stay on 1. no problems there this morning. the other fire location, woodbury, gloucester county, avoid mehorter boulevard. there's a crash along 55 southbound side past dep ford. the good news it's off to the shoulder.

traffic stop outside the police station when it happened. he was inside the patrol car writing a ticket when another vehicle pulled up behind him. that driver got up and walked up to the patrol car window shot the officer in the head killing him. police in texas released this photo of a man who might have information on the murder. toys "r" us stopped selling a tonka truck because it caused a real pick up truck to burst into flames. they bought the toy on friday and it burst into flames on the way home. toys "r" us pull the truck off the shelves. they believe it is an i say -- isolated incident. facebook is looking to keep

wind will gust from 40 to 45 miles per hour look out for debris on roads and branches that may come down. the wind wind gusts are in the s in the suburbs and in the city itself. satellite and radar shows you breaks in the clouds, we'll see a sun and clouds mix this afternoon. radar picking up snow showers pushing into northern pennsylvania and the poconos will get that today. it's cold in philadelphia. 30s everywhere. when you factor in the winds, the windchills are in the 20s. like yesterday it's another day to bundle up in the extra gear. as we look at where we're rolling over the the next 12 hours, 36 degrees by 7:00 a.m. noon, 41. the high this afternoon will be 45. even at that point of the day you'll be looking at windchills in the 30s. bundle up from start to finishing. it will be blustery by 6:00 p.m. with the temperatures dipping into the upper 30s. looks like another windy one

half-hour ago they were working to get the flames under control three hours after the fire was called in. you can see this is a massive response from the trenton fire department and vowpgd communities. we're -- surrounding communities. nine homes have been damaged. three have collapsed. two people have been injured. every unit in trenton is here. a fire coordinator from mercer county was called in to help. we have viewer video i want to show you of the flames tearing through the homes. flames were fierce. firefighters arrived at the unit block of weinberg place, four homes were engulfed. they had to pull back because of live wires on the ground. pse&g shut power off to the whole grid. three homes collapsed.

crews first arrived on mehorter boulevard this morning. one person had to jump from a second-story window to escape. at least 6 other people are hurt. there are live wires that caught fire. utility crews are keeping an eye on that. this entire block has been evacuated as a precaution. let's take a live look from the action cam. it took several hours, appears the firefighters got the upper hand on this fire that was blown around by the wicked winds this morning. >> 6:36 federal aviation workers arrived on the scene of a deadly plane crash in burlington county, new jersey. the pilot was the only person on board when it went down in bass river state forest. the pilot was 75-year-old william lin dly from beechwood,

new jersey. a child was shot and sent to the hospital in new jersey. the victim was sent to a medical center in vineland. no arrests have been made. a maintenance worker scared off two men who he said were breaking into city hall. the suspects climbed through an open window in broad daylight when the janitor yelled at them and called security. there was no damage to the building. happening today, president-elect donald trump will meet with rick perry said to be energy secretary. chris christie was part at trump national golf club in somerset county. the president-elect said he made a couple of deals, but did not reveal cabinet pick also. trump said his wife and son will not move to washington until the end of the school year next year. on twitter trump insisted that the cast and producers of

thanksgiving travel. hundreds of workers at chicago o'hare airport is fighting for union rights and 15-dollar an hour. suspect in the ambush shooting of a saint louis police sergeant was killed in a shootout with police overnight. the 46-year-old sergeant was sitting in traffic when another car pulled up alongside his marked police vehicle. he was shot twice in the face. the sergeant is in critical condition, but expected to survive. >> this tells you how dangerous a job it is. and tells you how much we have to appreciate our police officers. you have to understand the difficulties they go through, the sacrifices they undertake to protect us and our neighborhoods. >> the shooter fled the scene. police caught up with the suspect early this morning, they say he shot at officers and was killed when they returned fire. >> brand new tensions flared on the dakota access pipeline.

400 protesters tried to push past a long block bridge on a state highway. a line of law enforcement use tier gas and -- tear gas and pushed them back. the souix nation says it threatens their drinking water and cultural sites. the pipeline will run from north dakota to illinois.
