too warm, meteorologist chris sowers joins us with a first look of the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast this final day of 2016. >> reporter: she is invited to the party, it looks good, new year's eve it could be cold, snowing and we could be talking about windchills, none of that. outside we go, looking at the commodor barry bridge. a nice quiet morning. it's chilly, temperatures in the 20s, things will moderate nicely later this afternoon. high temperatures should top out in the mid to upper 40s, looks pretty good. 26 in allentown. 32 in philadelphia. 29 in trenton. 32 in beach haven. millville, 25 degrees. 22 for the poconos, dover, 28. wilmington, checking in at 29. salt sat just a couple of clouds off to the northwest, otherwise the mid atlantic is clear this morning with a few more clouds starting to approach from the great lake states that will provide us with partly sunny skies this afternoon. here's the forecast for today,

we go hour by hour for you, starting out with sunshine, gradually increasing those high, thin clouds, 42 degrees by 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., we're up to 45 and then by 5:00 p.m., 45 shooting for a high of 47 degrees, it will be breezy, the wind will make the 47 feel like the upper 30s, low 40s, not a bad forecast for the last day of 2016. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll have the hour by hour forecast for tonight i'll be back in just a few minutes, alicia. this morning we're staying on top of breaking news an all out manhunt is going on for a man accused of killing a pennsylvania state trooper. overnight we got a look at the face of the alleged gunman. the encounter happened in hesston, hung to be county two hours -- huntington county, two hours west of philadelphia. this man, jason robison shot

weaver and took off. some residents have been evacuated as the search goes on. >> so far we've seen helicopters and under cover cop cars and state police go by, hoping everything is all right. >> five or six families in there, some of their families' is home and the rest of us are waiting in the church parking lot hoping we can get home soon. >> this as the manhunt is underway, state police say he might have died his hair purple. he is considered armed and dangerous. anyone who comes in contact with robison is asked to call 9 11. tom wolf said atlantic -- landon

will be remembered for his bravery and his sacrifice to serve. state police our best and bravest pennsylvanians who risk their lives to keep all our families safe. four people were shot outside a venue where meek mill performed in connecticut. two victims died. shots were fired in wallingford late last night. new this morning, a young woman was critically injured after being hit by an suv in northeast philadelphia. this happened at 9th and fairdale roads at 11:00 p.m. the driver told police the woman ran into traffic. witnesses say she was behaving erratically before the crash. the suv did stop, the driver was not charged. one person killed and three others hurt in a two car crash in medford, burlington county.

chopper 6 hd was above the scene, a car collided with an suv. no word on what caused the crash. well it is new new year's e there will be extra security in place to make sure everybody enjoys a safe celebration as we ring in 2017. the draw is the magnificent fireworks display over the delaware river at penns landing. there are about to shows tonight. as jeff chirico explains there are plenty of ways to ring in the new year in the city of philadelphia. >> happy new year. >> reporter: excitement is building, as visitors begin arriving early to ring in the new year, philly style. this family from bucks county is spending the weekend. everybody wanted to come down for the night and see the fireworks and so we all said, sure, let's go. >> reporter: and there's plenty to do at the hilton in penns landing, preparation is underway for not one, two, but three new year's eve parties.

it's been a mild week, keep in mind the normal high temperature for this time of the year is 42 degrees, monday, 50, tuesday, 64. it was one degree shy of the record of 65. wednesday and thursday, a little bit cooler, but above average, 46. yesterday's high, 42. right now here showing 32, the freezing mark in philadelphia. the dewpoint is dry, pressure reading is rising, winds out of the southwest at 10 miles per hour. we have a windchill in the city of 29 degrees. air temperatures in the 20s north north and west. 29 in reading. 26 in allentown. 22 in the poconos. millville, 25. trenton, 29. philadelphia is the only location at this point that thas not in the 20s. up to bundle up this morning. we have a slight breeze out of the southwest making it feel a little bit cooler than the actual air temperatures are showing. again, later this afternoon, things will moderate fairly nicely. here's satellite and radar as you can see most of the mid atlantic and the eastern portions of ohio valley and the
