extra gear. i'll have the weekend call from accuweather coming up. including improvement for super bowl sunday. karen, what have you got on the roads early on. for the most part we're looking good so far. we're live on the blue route, at baltimore pike, we see traffic moving nicely, no issues right here on the blue route. on the big picture, i-95, schuylkill expressway, and the blue route moving pretty nicely. don't forget we have wing bowl going on at wells fargo center. you'll see more congestion coming into south philadelphia. it's not causing any delays yet. montgomery township, wales road at bethlehem pike watch for that accident. police were directing traffic at cemetary road because of fire activity, it just cleared. no problems in montgomery county. live on the boulevard extension that's the southbound traffic heading toward the schuylkill expressway, light volume to start us off. this accident brought down a traffic light, look for that with crews on the scene.

stick to northwest avenue stead of delsea live at wheat road. >> breaking news, a drench soldier opened fire on a man who went on attack with a machete at one of the most popular attractions in all of europe. katherine scott has more details. >> reporter: we are learning that a four man patrol of soldiers try to stop the attacker. one soldier has a minor injury. let's go to paris, we can see what's happening in the area. the french interior ministry said antiterrorism prosecutors are investigating the attack. it happened an hour ago around 10:40 a.m. local time at the louvre at a high end underground shopping complex at the louvre. the man attack the the soldier after he was stopped trying to

enter the shopping complex with his bags. he launched himself at the soldiers and shouted allah akbar. god is great. the soldier shot the man, he was carrying a bag with two machetes. soldiers on patrol are part of additional security measures after terror attacks in 2015, 2016. 3500 soldiers control sites around paris. the louvre is one of the city's biggest tourist attractions. they have seen the attendance slump since the recent attacks in france. the louvre museum have been closed to the public, trains are not stopping there. this is from twitter, a tourist visiting the louvre there were around 1,000 people inside the museum at the time, they were

being held inside a safe area there. we are hearing that a second person was arrested, it is unclear if they are connected to the attack. live at the satellite center, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. developing news roant, -- overnight, police in south philadelphia are looking for a man who stole an suv that had a toddler inside. once the driver realized there was a baby on board, he dumped her on on emily street. the baby was strapped inside the car seat inside the back of a blue 2014 rav iv. the mother told police she left the car running when she stepped back inside the laundromat where she worked for less than a minute that's when the thief took the opportunity and sped

off with the car. authorities say the little girl is doing fine. >> happening today, a jury could decide how much the salvation army and five other defendants will have to pay for the deadly center city building collapse. the same jury found 6 defendants including richie basiano guilty. attorneys are expected to call expert witnesses to testify during the penalty phase. authorities have started a massive investigation into the deadly prison takeover in delaware. the siege ended yesterday morning when police stormed cell block c at the james t. vonn in smyrna. when they got inside they found an unresponsive guard steven floyd. he was later declared dead. a vigil will be held for floyd in smyrna this evening,. the overnight manager of an upper darby laundromat shot

we are expecting clouds to give way to sunny breaks today. the big story is how much colder it will be and how much more uncomfortable. cloudy in the lehigh valley, 33 degrees, a brisk wind will be building in later in the morning and in through the afternoon and the windchills will be in the teens and 20s in the lehigh valley today. at the shore, high of 40. windchills down closer to the freezing mark, with a brisk and chilly breeze. in philadelphia, high of 35. clouds and sun, brisk and cold, winds running 10 to 20 miles per hour. the windchills will make it feel like the 20s all day long. if you're heading out to dinner or a movie or something else. you want to bring along the winter coat extra gear live gloves and scarves. 31 degrees by 7 can p.m. 29 by 9:00 p.m. the breeze will die down after dark, but it will be uncomfortable if you're not dressed appropriately. 24 is the overnight low, if you have plans to get up early on

the clouds over the last several hours have built in and thicken. it's cold, 29 degrees in philadelphia. 24 in allentown. 22 in reading. 28 in wilmington. the mid 20s in trenton and down into millville. the winds so far are not all that strong, single digits, but obviously with the temperatures in the 20s, even a light breeze you want the winter coat and extra gear this morning. here's how it will go today, we'll go through the day staying cold, 28 degrees by 7:00 a.m. 31 below freezing by noon. 3:00 p.m., that's the high, 35 degrees before we slide below the freezing mark again after dinnertime tonight. clouds and sunny breaks and winds in with windchills in the 20s all day long. it stays chilly for the weekend, the complete seven day coming up. >> reporter: i-95 southbound traffic at cottman, this car kind of ran into the median. it's off to the side.

attacked them with a machete yelling god is great in arabic. katherine scott has more. >> reporter: at this point we don't know many details about the attack. there was a four man patrol of soldiers fighting off the attacker, before a soldier opened fire. the soldier with a minor injury was not the one who fired his weapon. this is a live look in paris, some of the staffers in the louvre complex are being allowed let back in, the road blocks have been cleared. the french interior ministry said anti-terror prosecutors are investigating the attack. that happened 10:40 a.m. local time. at the carousel louvre at a high end shopping mall at the louvre. he attacked the soldiers after entering the shopping complex

the fact there's a baby in the back seat. the little girl is back safe with her mother, the police are trying to track down the thief and the vehicle. annie mccormick is live at south detectives with that story. >> reporter: matt, luckily, the thief knew enough to do the right thing by letting the little girl out of the car. she is staying with her family, police are working to identify the thief anne trying to find the vehicle he stole a mother and her little girl reunited after the car thief took off with the 19-month-old inside. after 5:30 p.m., the mother was leaving a laundromat where she worked leaving the baby in the running car. the bobby wanted something when she started to cry. >> the mother went back into to retrieve a toy and left the car running. the individual jumped in the car and drove away. >> reporter: five minutes later

in the 500 block of emily, prayers were answered. neighbors saw the man leave the child in her car seat on the sidewalk. >> my reaction was call the cops, balls the baby was crying and somebody can come and get her, it is scary. i can't imagine somebody could take a baby like that. >> the car we're looking for is 2014 ravv number jmc-4312. 2014rav four. >> reporter: police station say they got a look at the person behind the wheel. they have surveillance video, they have not released it yet. as for the toy the little girl wanted so badly, looks like it might be mini mouse you can see her chuching -- clutching it
