[ laughter ] twinkies are back. new york city is all excited. we got the all-star game. [ cheers and applause ] new york city has the all-star game!

we're so excited about that here. and a ticket -- i found out a ticket to the major league baseball all-star game is $859. [ audience oohs ] or as fans call that, still cheaper than a hot dog. [ laughter ] $859. a lot of money. or as the fathers hoping for a bonding experience with their sons put it, "you like the zoo, right?" [ laughter ] we'll watch it on tv. are you following the race for the mayor of new york city? [ cheers ] it's really heating up. and as you know, one of the candidates is anthony weiner. and -- [ laughter ] most people said that he had no chance. but believe it or not, he's actually been surging in the polls. [ laughter ] check out -- the chart here. there's -- there was yesterday. [ laughter ] and look at where he is today. he's all the way up here. [ cheers and applause ] ♪ not only that -- he's also leading among both women voters and independents. [ cheers and applause ] it's a miracle.

[ laughter ] everybody. >> jimmy: a modern day miracle. this is cool. yesterday, golfer jordan spieth became the first teenager to win a pga tour at the age of 19. isn't that amazing? [ cheers and applause ] 19 years old. you can definitely tell he is still a teenager from his post-game interview. look at this. >> that was one of the best shots i've ever seen. [ cheers and applause ] >> jimmy: he'll figure it out. the white house announced that the president and his family will visit martha's vineyard in august. a little vacation. they already started to make their preparations, packing

swimsuits, buying sunscreen, giving biden the wrong address. [ laughter ] just stuff like that. speaking of obama, the president just called russian president vladimir putin to discuss nsa leaker edward snowden, who's been living in moscow at the airport. yeah. obama asked that snowden be sent back to the u.s., and in return, putin asked for a case of twinkies. [ laughter ] >> steve: really? >> jimmy: with twinkies, you hold all the cards. [ applause ] this is kind of weird. last week on "the dr. oz show," he interviewed a woman who claims that she has an orgasm whenever she goes running. and dr. oz has his way of explaining the science behind it. take a look. >> you are running back and forth. the tissues are stimulated. the muscles relaxing, contracting, and and all of a sudden without realizing it, guess what you have? [ laughter ] did you guys hear about this? harry potter author j.k. rowling revealed that she is the writer of a recent crime novel that was published using a man's name. readers became suspicious that it was her when the detective was, like, "take him to azkaban. i mean, prison. take him to prison." [ laughter ] >> jimmy: and finally -- did you see this? carly rae jepsen -- did you see this? we love carly rae, right? we've done bits with her. the starter for the national league team was just announced. it's new york city's own mets pitcher. matt harvey is going to be the starting pitcher. [ cheers and applause ] so psyched. guy's taken the league by storm, and now he's an all-star. but the funny thing is since it's only his first full season, not many people know who matt harvey is yet. even right here in new york. and even if they do know his name, a lot of them wouldn't be able to recognize him even if they were standing right next to him and talking to him. i'll show you what i mean, because this morning we sent matt harvey himself out to the streets of new york.
