the community of sherman park - and the city as a whole - is continuing to heal after an outbreak of violence and unrest there as we look ahead to another weekend in milwaukee... pete zervakis is live with how faith leaders are hoping to keep the peace. after demonstrators looted stores... and burned buildings and cars here in sherman park last weekend... the catholic archdiocese of milwaukee began planning a so the vicar general for the diocese's urban ministry has scheduled a prayer vigil at 6:30 the wake of the violence. it's happening at all saints near 25th and capitol. almost 200 parishes will be represented. the diocese says it wants to move on from the destruction of last weekend... and pray for a just and peaceful society for all. a bit earlier this afternoon... at 3:30... there's a peace walk scheduled to start at 15th and locust. following the

church is hosting a meal and discussion on police/community relations. everyone is welcome to attend. live...pz....tmj4 as the healing in sherman park continues, new concerns as kids get ready to head back to school. some sherman park parents worry about their kids safety. ann sterling is live with more. milwaukee college prep is about 2 miles away from sherman leaders here are ready to addressing the fears and concerns some parents have. the principals at several schools including "milwaukee college prep charter school" are already taking calls from worried parents.the sight of violence and looting over the past few days have a lot of parents worried. we've been in touch with our families.to make sure they are in the best place possible mentally and that they are safe when to school." and things like that it is so far from the truth so we have to be in their ears." 15:28:46 because it is so far from hopeless. the school plans a listening session this friday evening for parents... students and recent graduates of m-c-p to talk about the upcoming school year and their concerns. reporting live in sherman park, today's tmj-4 brown deer police looking for a person who called in a fake that's terrible cuz we were frightened. we were really, really frightened.carol dumas says brown deer police got a call from a man, with her husband's namewho was in her house and going to detonate a bomband that his parents were locked in the bathroom, and he was going to kill them. but carol's husband has been dead for 8 years. she lives in the home with her grandchildren. all of them were ordered to come out of the house with their hands up. . their house was searched for two hours, and her oldest grandchild questioned by police.

investigating where that call came from. they apologized to carol and her family for the scare, but say in that case, they were working to keep everyone safe. a milwaukee family is launching a new effort to find a driver who struck and killed their loved-one... then drove off.14:46:49-14:47:02 "they know that they hit somebody and not just hit them where they survived, but hit them where they killed her." mary wills was hit while walking home from work last thurday night near 91st and appleton.the family is handing out fylers... to hopefully find clues to bring the driver to justice. if you do have information, you can contact milwaukee police a traffic alert... on one of the busiest stretches of highway in the state.i-94 eastbound at highway 100 will be completely closed starting at 11 tomorrow night.ramps from i-94 and 41 are also

installing new girders.the highway is expected to reopen sometime sunday morning happening right now...mexican authorities bracing for the possibility of a cartel war. this after joaquin "el chapo" guzman's son is kidnapped from this restuarant in puerto vallarta.this is el chapo's son his name is jesus alfredo guzman salazar -- he was taken along with six others. it's believe a rising drug gang -- known as jalisco generation is trying to challenge el chapo's authority -- and that sinaloa cartel will now strike back.also this morning we're learning el chapo's mother's home was also broken into -- by gunmen.the jalisco gang's power and reach have grown rapidly in recent years, often in direct competition with guzman's cartel, which has long been considered the strongest criminal organization in mexico. this morning authorities saying they haven't heard about any demands for ransom.

breaking right now..another house fire in the sherman park neighborhood.this is a live look at what's happening right now this is near 33rd and hadley...you can see... we are hearing that this fire home -- but it is so big that it's started a second home on fire -- that's what district 7 police are telling us.and if this is in fact a vacant home on fire -- this will be the second one to catch fire in the early morning hours this week -- both are in the sherman park neighborhood. we do know police are on scene

news beyond wisconsin. the minnesota officer who shot and killed philando castile is back at work this morning.... with encouragement from his boss. his police chief called the officer a level headed member of the force. the officer killed castile druing a traffic stop.castile's girlfriend... who was in the car... livestreamed the incident on facebook. parents of a woman strangled in new york... are making an unusual request to daughter's killer. they are urging the killer to turn himself in. if he does... they'll give reward money to a person of the killer's choice. their daugther was killed while jogging nearly two weeks ago.the family is looking to raise 100 thosuand dollars for a reward leading to the arrest of her killer thousands of federal buildings nationwide will now allow transgender employees and visitors to use the bathroom that matches their gender identity. the general services administration made the decision after recent court
