northwest dc, good morning to you, an lee. >> reporter: good morning, tom and annie and caitlin, yesterday, we had the parade. and today, we take on a little more of a serious tone, with thousands more expected to hit the streets for the equality march for unity and pride. and we're standing here where the march will end in front of the capitol building and countries are on scene setting up a stage. this is where again, some big named performers like milely cyrus and the pointer sisters will be performing and there will be big-time actors and speakers speaking. the parade will begin at 10:00 this morning, and folks are expected to start lining up along i street between 14th and 17th street. i want to show you all, here, we've got several police already out on the streets here blocking the roadway, because marchers are expected to head down 17th street past the white house, and then end here on

mall. so there will be closures in this area here as well as rolling closures throughout the district. especially during that march. the march is also happening, guys, one day before the one year anniversary of the pulse night club attack in orlando. that will be a theme honoring the victims as well as voicing concerns and just talking about the current political climate regarding the lgbtq community. here is where everything will end. there will be a huge concert and capitol pride and plenty of family fun things to do until 7:00 p.m. make sure you're prepared for the weather but it should be fun out here, an lee hemphill, fox 5 local news 7:04. the capitol pride parade was in full
