spring annie. taking a live look to rain all t you might not see any rain just a few thunderstorms later this afternoon. it is cloudy and warm and humid. 74 at reagan national, 72 dulles, 73 at bwi. temperatures really didn't get below 70 degrees just about everywhere. look at that 76 in annapolis to start out, 72 in leonardtown, 72 in culpeper. that air is thick. makes it a little difficult for your morning exercise with these dewpoints in the upper 60's to low 70's. they show them in the morning, they're usually at their highest and that's the case any time you see a dewpoint over 70 it's really, really sticky out there. all right, storm tracker radar showing a few rogue showers in northern delaware moving into south jersey. otherwise we don't have any rain on the map. we really won't until the afternoon. ot

and humid, warm, temperatures soaring into the 80's. h again r father's day which looks hot. details for the rest of your weekend forecast still ahead. annie. >> ♪ >> time now 7:02. investigator its still trying to piece together what happened at a baseball field in alexandria. meanwhile there are new developments about the gunman involved in this case. fox5's anjali hemphill with the latest developments this morning. good morning, anjali. >> reporter: good morning, annie. well, it's been three days since this horrific shooting and simpson baseball field remains roped off behind me and we can see even at this early hour investigators on scene here continuing to process the scene and fox news has confirmed that a list was found containing the names and capitol hill office room numbers for six gop congressmen inside the

james hodgkinson, all of them associated with the freedom caucus. the names on the list were representatives trent franks from arizona jim jordan of ohio, mo brooks from alabama and morgan griffith from virginia and fox news is reporting both jeff duncan and mo brooks were actually here at wednesday's practice when james hodgkinson opened fire and right now the fbi is stopping short of calling this a hit list but they're trying to determine if hodgkinson planned to go to these offices on capitol hill to see these republicans. now, last night the fbi's evidence response team was seen combing this area to complete a shooting trajectory analysis. meanwhile this field remains closed and neighbors are still in

need to take the time if they ad their families. >> reporter: now, according to the alexandria little league facebook page there were little league games scheduled for this weekend here on this field. however, as you can see, the field still roped off and crime scene tape so it's likely they will be canceled. however, i can tell you there will be a reopening ceremony planned by the city here at this field on monday evening where the hope is to make this place "a familiar and comfortable environment for our kids and families again." that's the latest near alexandria, anjali hemphill, fox5 local news. >> a fraternity brother of representative steve scalise from louisiana state university has organized a blood drive for scalise. right now he still remains in critical condition

adrian burno says everyone is now to a developing story out of montgomery county this morning. two youth were found shot to death last week. yesterday police released new information in this case and they say the teens were targeted by multiple shooters who fired 30 rounds hitting one of the boys 10 times. detectives also believe the teens were targeted by someone they knew. fox5's paul wagner has this story. >> appreciate you coming here today for an update. >> reporter: detectives investigating the murders are now going through all of the boy's communications in the weeks and months before their deaths in hopes of turning up the one piece of information investigators need. why would multiple shooters kill these boys in such a savage way? >> look, we know that kids talk amongst all kinds of platforms nowadays

they talk on -- well, not even facebookt somee at northwest high school knows something that they should share, that they should do the right thing, talk to their parents about it. >> reporter: one of the boys was hit 10 times and the other four. najjar was sitting in the driver's seat and artem ziberof in theofhe boys had cash in his hand. today one of the fathers said it was artem. >> the police said he was holding $20 in his hand. i did not see it. not to my knowledge. so, i was not there but my son, no, he did not have no cash in his wallet. >> reporter: police confirm they did that find tickets to northwest high school's graduation in the

cosby is accused of drugging and molesting a woman in 2004. jurors acquitted a minnesota police officer who shot and killed a man during a traffic stop. officer yanez was tried on manslaughter charges for the death of philando castile last year. guilty verdict for the young woman who sent her suicidal boyfriend a barrage of text messages urging him to kill his case. the judge said michelle carter's actions caused the death of conrad roy. hundreds of text messages were presented as evidence over six days of testimony. michelle carter now faces up to 20 years in prison. she'll be sentenced in august. the school year is

over in prince george's county we've just learned the final tally of staff on leafy leal sa' changes for next year. school officials were just discussing it at an annual retreat at national harbor. fox5 lindsey watts takes it from here. >> reporter: at this board retreat today, we have gotten new details about staff members on leave. first, the latest numbers for you. 848 school staff members accused of abuse or misconduct and put on leave this school year. about half of those are teachers. 233 employees remain on leave right now as we go into the summer months, also learned that 67 employees under investigation have either been fired, they resigned or retired. we'll take you inside the meeting now. ceo of schools dr. kevin maxwell was here along with members of his staff and school board members. as we've been reporting, new policies were put in place one

child abuse by school staff. policies meant to better protect kids. some teachers are being pulled out of their schools the vast majore more than 800 cases reported to child protective services have been screened out, meaning that they have not risen to the level of an investigation. it's been more minor inappropriate behavior, not child abuse or neglect. so, the plan for this summer is to make school employees fully aware of the expectations and disciplinary consequences. principals will also receive training so they can do their own investigations and be more selective about involving cps. school board chair banks says he hopes to see allegations dealt with more appropriately and more quickly. >> and i'm confident that the -- if -- if these new strategies are applied, that we'r

>> it's just heat and humidity and varying degrees as we go through the next three months. summer officially starts on wednesday but starting things off early. we had a couple days earlier this week well into the 90's. we have scattered thunderstorms in the forecast. thank you and that would probably be during the afternoon hours. a lot like yesterday. most of the morning into the afternoon is going to be very cloudy. it's going to look like it wants to rain but it's not necessarily going to rain until later on today. very humid and temperatures rising into the upper 80's so scattered afternoon thunderstorms outside right now 74 degrees mostly cloudy, late winds out of the south. we don't have much moving this humid air mass around. it's just kind of sitting on top of us as a warm front is off towards our north. we won't see that cold front until monday

temperatures outside right now 73 baltimore, 74 across northern delaware towards philadelphia south jersey across central portions y light and any showe and then move eastward. fox futurecast kind of overdoing it a little bit but you get the idea that any overnight rain showers towards our north and east are ending. we'll get a bit of a break. later this afternoon we'll see showers and thunderstorms develop within this humid air mass mainly along the 81 corridor, maybe across southern maryland but they'll move northeast ward and even if we don't see much here in washington, fox futurecast doesn't show it we'll at least have scattered thunderstorms across the area so heads up, you may have to briefly go inside this afternoon if you're at the pool or going out on your saturday evening. we quiet down overnight into early sunday morning. we get sunshine back and along with that really w
