6:14 am
>>russell: yes, sir. >>dave: a couple more days. just a couple more days. we're halfway through the work week here. i have a couple of sprinkles on skytower radar. as we shifted the winds to more of east-northeast, we had a northeast wind the past couple of weeks, get more of an easterly component to it and that brings a couple of showers along the east coast but as they work their way west, i'm going to point out this one, for instance, south of the orlando area about to go over the florida start to fall apart. so the rain chances very, very low. in fact, you may see a sprinkle or two inland and that will probably be about it. i noticed a couple of quick sprinkles around ocala this morning. maybe northeast citrus county gets one or two of those. you can't buy a raindrop in november around here typically. it's the driest month of the year. even though we have a front coming through on friday, we'll not get a lot of rain with that, either. mid to upper 60s.
6:15 am
yesterday at this time. lower 70s back to the coastline. here we go. two to about four degrees warmer overall except up around leesburg where it's eight degrees warmer. crystal river, seven. still think, though, it all averages in the afternoon to get back to what i call seasonably warm levels and high temperatures in the mid 80s. as long as these dew points can hang here for the next couple of days, which i think they will, keeping the humidity in the moderate category, again, it will be late in the friday. that is when you really are going to start to notice that big difference. so here are a few sprinkles, especially north, working their way off to the west. a cold front to the northwest and so far, high pressure has been anchored off the carolina coastline and behind this front, we do obviously have cooler air but it's not a massive cooldown. typically when these fronts slide southeastward, the colder air behind them tends to modify a bit.
6:16 am
talking about knocking high temperatures down three or four degrees, maybe five. low temperatures down a little bit more than that so it's going to be a noticeable cold front. it's going to be awesome weather but it's not going to be like, oh, my gosh. here comes the cold stuff of the not yet. it's not that time. mostly sunny, seasonably warm, 7:42. the one thing i'm not going to miss by turning the clocks back is this late sunrise. love to have sunrise early it will be at 6:45 by sunday. i know i'm jumping ahead of myself there. mostly clear, mild today, low 65 degrees. tomorrow 84 as we continue with the warmth. boaters, moderate chop with seas running two feet and the northeast wind. next seven days, look at the difference. 81 on friday. just a quick little 20% rain chance. mid to upper 70s for highs saturday and sunday. oh, gosh. let's just bring that to monday and tuesday as well.
6:17 am
looking forward to it, dave. and i agree with you about the sunrise, too. i'm looking at my cameras and they're darker than they usually are later in the morning. right now speaking of the cameras, we've got a live look for you. this is near the sunshine skyway bridge, areas north of the south fishing pier where everything is running up to speed and a bit north of there as well, you can see we have great travel times for you. 275. southbound direction between kennedy boulevard and pin he will as southbound 75, eight minute drive, fowler avenue to the expressway. enjoy. russell? >>russell: thanks. 6:17. a deadly pipeline blast is now sparking fears of potential gas shortages and price hikes at the pump across portions of the u.s. blast in alabama shut down a key pipeline that supplies gas to

find time to vote early or you prefer to vote on the beg day, finding time can be a struggle. and alcides segui is live at the ymca on himes in tampa. some locations are offering free child care november 8 but it turns out there may be some problems here, right? >>reporter: yeah. i think that's what they're trying to figure out. here is the thing. "usa today" did a story on this a couple of days ago and local ymca's are still trying to figure out if providing something they're even able to do. for example, one here in south tam park the ymca off himes avenue, i'm not completely sure they're going to participate in this type of service. i do know of two different locations that are. one of them is in north pinellas county. that's in more specifically in the palm harbor area. they're going to be providing child care on election day the entire day. and here's the thing. it's free service. you don't have to be a member at all.

children and it's up to an hour and a half. the other location that is also going to be providing this service is in hernando county. more specifically, in spring hill. it's their ymca in spring hill. it's only from 5:00 to 8:00 but remember, it's only allowed for an hour and a half before you have to come and pick up your children. but again, not every ymca is doing this. there are a lot of things that go into play here. first, is this a good idea for the local chapter? secondly, do they have enough employees? and then the third issue here is, you know, is there enough space for your local ymca to have all the children under one roof? on friday the ymca of the u.s.a. offered child care so parents can go out and vote on november 8. the y president said election day is arguably one of the most important days in the u.s. this year and the ultimate opportunity for americans to make their voices heard through the democratic process which is
6:35 am
argue that. but here is the thing. your local ymca is not regulated by the national chapter. so while the ymca of the u.s.a. says they're offering this, the ultimate decision here is up to the individual ymca so this one may not be providing it but the one up north is and, you know, every ymca is regulated by the individual that's under that roof specifically, not the national chapter. so they're all out is this a good idea? do they have enough employees? and is there enough space to hold all the children under one roof? so your best bet, a, go to our website at fox13news.com and b, contact your local ymca to see if they're providing the service. at the end, i don't think there's any question, it's a good idea. but b, the issue is, is there enough space? is there enough employees? back to you. >>laura: thank you. >>russell: 6:35.
