how about this shot from brook dale bay shore camera. we're sitting there about 62 degrees. no, just bumped to 64 as it was switching to graphic. that's cool. 64 with light winds. it's beautiful out there. over tarred usf marine science camera 69 degrees with north wind at six miles per hour. we're anticipating our highs today to go back to lower 80s which is awesome. front comes through tonight. and we dry it out a little bit for tomorrow. plus knock temperatures back a few degrees. literally just a few minutes from now. 8:0 one. we're seeing some improvements here along 275 southbound approaching i-4. more particularly approaching sligh where we would an earlier crash which now cleared out center lane and probably going to be in shoulder at this point. we have some big improvements as i mentioned down from about 40 minutes in our last check on the stretch between bearss and i-4 to about 26 minutes. so as you can see probably less
mentioned in last report make sure you prepared for little slow downs most of them between fowler and hillsborough. just about 8:02. developing to story that sparked a lot of out ramg on social media. it is from a company that no stranger to controversy. this is all over a new ad that pee peta just released this week it ties animal abuse to sexual assault of women. fox 13's jennifer epstein is here now with this is an extreme comparison >> yeah, it sure is. you think peta would have expected this reaction, especially when the ad in question starts off making the viewer think they are hearing from actual victims of sexual assault. >> one man held me down. another touched me. i was so scared. i didn't know what i had done wrong. after i felt like i was nothing.
they used my body. i make them money. to them, i'm an object. they've called me >> and now, peta doesn't even mention animals until almost the end of the ad. where you see here when the women one women shows a picture of a cow. the commercial goes along with an article on peta website that's tieltszed is your food a product of rape. it impes like cows are treated just like sexual assault victims in factories. they say cows are forcibly impregnated many times and then separated from their babies at birth to keep their milk production up. >> peta spent a lot of time on twitter thursday replying towel a negative comments it's been getting including this tweet from dissdmra ied princess which reads no survivor of sexual assault should have to go
to animal. they've already been dehu dehumdehu dehumanized. another one as if rape, sell sexual assault victims haven't dehumanized enough peta compares them to animalpeta respond the president told huffing ton post that every decent person abhor and denounce sexual abuse of women we cannot blightly accept other females that happen to not be humans but same vulnerable and the pain. and of course this is not the first controversial ad from they've done everything from comparing women to meat to using porn stars and hitler references in ads. at the end of the day it's getting people talking and that's probably their goal anyway. >> back to you. >> thank you, jen. 8:04 right now new cover of time says it all, the end is near. just four days and counting until all of that campaigning will finally come to an end. and there have been a lot of

hour. i'm howeding my eyelids up. happy friday a lot of debate over recent years most of say benjamin franklin came up with idea daylight saving time. he said more daytime hours people would be more productive. well to use it to increase efficiency germany during world war i u.s. adopted it. in the past it was sought to help the economy since companies would save on electric bills. but recent polls show most americans change onlying though there are some positive side effects. >> there's arguments for for example, we come out of work at 4, 5 for example, and there's still a little bit of daylight saving time that allows us to go out and go shopping spend money go to sports activities. entertainment activities. >> and that's another reason why businesses lee harvey oswald the idea. daylight save has increased son you remember spending but a new study jp morgan chase institute
fall back wipes out any economic boost from springing forward. and then there's this, impact on health many scientists say our never bodies adjust entirely to change. several studies found an affect on heart attacks. say risk goes up by 25 percent the morning after we spring forward. the risk drops 21 percent when we turn the clocks back. each state and territory in u.s. has chase whether to follow daylight saving some do, s not arizona, highway and puerto rico many other states proposed to stop or change daylight saving florida has had several bills but so far none have passed. equally controversial i will add. about whether or not we should change this daylight saving is whether or not it daylight saving or daylight savings. is that debatable? >> i thik there has been some confusion in the past. now you stirred that up again with daylight save. there has a little bit.

get mid 70s down over south florida. we're the cold front has moved through, and it's moving far to the south. but i want you to notice behind it, the colder air kind of lags behind. so it's still really not that bad. even in dallas or little rock or nashville. behind it this front, were we're looking really overall at a gorgeous weekend with the warmth today. you get back to that 83-degree mark. by later tonight and tomorrow morning early, this front comes swinging ro dryer air. this is not the type of cold front that's going to knock our temperatures down 20 degrees. it's not going to happen. it's going to actually just bring us back to normal for a change. normal is 80 for a high. 83 today. scattered clouds warmth. maybe a little breezy. not bad way to start off your saturday morning 80 in afternoon.
couple degrees cooler. just a sminl dryer as well you will feel that refreshing air. but the greatest news of all is that it will last for while. high temperatures will run 80 to 83 right through next thursday and lows in the low to mid 60s. vanessa. >> all right. dave right now in pinellas. looks like we're seeing some slow downs on northbound 275. crash which is fortunately not blocking any travel lanes on right shoulder. is cause something folks to slow down, of course remember to use caution emergency crews you see of course there's definitely a trooper there at the very least. but this camera near 54th avenue north. speeds running eight miles per hour in this area where we have the start of our heavy congestion back towards the downtown exits with st. pete. and then beyond towards tropicana area picking up to about 42 miles per hour in that direction. so make sure that you're planning a few extra minutes heading that way. >> all right. vanessa, thank you. we've got lot still ahead on good day. find out why a gym is refusing

>> well that and we just love wawa. i mean it's really, it's just, you know it's a great, it's probably the best convenience store ever. and the thing that it has done here in florida. it has raised the bar. if you notice all circle k's and not give them any time on tv, but and race way and race track, they've all, they've all stepped it up because of wawa. and just a great convenience store. that's all. i mean i don't know where i mean a lot of men don't know how to make a sandwich. they have to come in and have to use the screen they say, i was with a guy one day. guy i play golf with, what do i put on it. what do i do. do you like what kind of cheese. 5 cheeses. 5 is too much. too many options. i have to have my wife here with me. mr. and mrs. kelly thank you so much for your time i greatly
well. thank you for watching. so again the 100th wawa here in state of. they employ over 4,000 people with all of that said if you need free cup of coffee wawa today alone they are giving up free cup of coffee show up to this one here they will giving oh free coffee for the next ten days. back to you. all right. thank you, alcides. sounds like a cultish following. it does. it does. i remember when they first came and jen who you with going to the wawa, we got to go. we got to go to wawa. and she, she was right. she was light. it's a great store. >> hey dave. every time i worked the noon show. go over there. one over there. bring it on back. it's nice. i love it. 67 degrees the tampa net cam this morning. we're looking west this time. we looking off toward howard frankland on your left. honestly beautiful. just a gorgeous start to the day.
show you another pretty camera how about sirata beach shot. if you're heading out to beach this weekend, just as fantastic. as inland locations where lakeland right now sitting around 63 degrees. so what we'll do today, bring it back up into the lower 80s. our normal high for this time of year is around 80 degrees. we'll bring it up to 83. and then slowly bring it back a couple degrees over weekend. after this front comes through later tonight and early tomorrow morning. only slightly coming in behind this. you're not going to get this whoosh of massively dryer air. going to feel refreshing and should be beautiful. 83 degrees for high today with scattered clouds. back to mid 60s tonight. maybe upper 50s well inland and north. then tomorrow's high of very comfy 80 degrees. because at the same time, it's going to feel a little dryer out there as well. next 7 daze no rain in forecast. turning clocks back. all kinds of good news there.
sleep. but i'm going to show you one of my favorite #welivehere pictures. one of my favorites. okay. but i will tell you why. i'm not going to tell you why. i'm just going to show it to you. awe. i like that. that just commands respect in a statement. obviously it's stretched out a little bit. so when you go to my facebook page by way you can see the picture from eric banks. of the eagle in bradenton. see them. not everybody can see those in their state. so yeah, #welivehere. you see expression on that bird's face? >> yeah. he's like that's right. i'm an eagle. i'm an eagle. don't mess with me. i'm going to get that squirrel. no, just kidding. pretty cool picture for sure. all right dave, thank you. we will switch gears get to roads. looks like we do have one crash to make mention of that is pretty notable. on hillsborough at toured drive.
intersection with memorial and sheldon. unfortunately we're hearing a vehicle has struck a child here. there are some injuries reported. but we don't know the extent of injuries. we do know there are some lanes blocked in area. going to be eastbound direction. so affecting quite few of those folks eastbound busy part along hillsborough this time of morning. we have delays reported in area make sure you're planning extra time or avoiding. we will update this one for you as well. garden with our good friend david widwam from widwam organics. we had a problem. we had, we had weeds intermixed with plants and sometimes we couldn't tell the difference. we pulled of up wrong things. now clearly, we're starting over. >> that's right. we have started by seed so basically the plants are vegetable plants coming up about same rate as the weeds. and it was very hard for me to kind of determine between the to. i ended up pulling up some of
partial row of broccoli plants. we have a partial row of kale plants. and that's the only stuff that made it. >> so now we're going to do some planting from seedlings. so we started some new seedlings in our plug trays. that's romaine lettuce. so by starting our seeds in here once plugs come up we pop the plugs out. that's what i have going on here. something else you've done here th it's probably on paper it looks like the right thing to do. but sometimes people probably don't think about this you're planning what you're planting where. i actually have a count of seedlings in my hand right now what i need to fill in the spaces. so i went ahead and popped all the plugs out and put them on something and use it as a tray. that way i'm not carrying those with me go garden popping plugs out and running over here. all plugs are out and ready to
here we have enough broccoli plants to fill in the space. most of the time, when you plant your plugs or if you buy larger seedlings from the store, you don't want to try to separate them. if you try and separate them, more often than not, by trying to get, there's about 4 plants in there. so by trying to get four plants out of this plug i'm going to get no plants. i'll end up killing all of them because all roots are tied folks didn't see this last week, when we talk about these things, the plug trays. plug trays. yes, sir. what you've done is i mean you sell these at your place. but you can also do this on your own which is basically put seeds in these little trace and let them sprout. right you don't have to do this was all lettuce. you don't have to do all lettuce. this would one of the things in your garden and something else. you can pretty much plant your
number 2, you are able to differentiate between what is a we had and what is not. as you can see because these are already started. i'm not going to have any issues telling what >> look at this one already. so that's the kale. was that seedling from a plug. that was actually from our seeds. so these are replacement plugs that i'll just use to fill in gapi know we got to go is that about dance you put them i like to get them kind of closeyou them. you usually don't wouldn't plant them any deeper than where they already are after i'm done planting i always like to see some of the soil that was in the plug tray. so as you can, you know so that way you know you didn't go. you didn't go too deep. you don't want to bury any more the plant that has already come up. nice. nice clean straight lines. and wedding shouldn't be a problem from here on out. >> david, thank you. as always. >> thank you. good to see you, my friend.
i'm hillary clinton and i approve this message. donald trump: i could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot
somebody and i wouldn't lose any voters, okay? and you can tell them to go f--- themselves! you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever... you gotta see this guy. ahh, i don't know what i said, ahh.
new york in election night. you know it used that election day was day americans went to polls. no americans stop going to the polls. i've talked to robb mook a couple weeks a campaign manager for hillary clinton. they expect 40 percent of all americans who vote will have voted before election day. i gather the number i was just looking some stats in florida. huge turn out from hispanics and one would assume, obviously we don't know who if you looking polls in florida and across country what would assume that's a lot of votes being banked for hillary clinton before we get to election day. >> as we head into the last of it, donald trump is announced he's making another stop in tampa tomorrow. tim kaine, john bon jovi are going to be in town tomorrow for, for hillary. it, florida once again. chris i know where you are. you don't see the ads like we
campaign ads on tv right now. a lot of folks just cannot cannot wait for this to be over with here. oh, i know. i mean, i have seen those. when i was in nevada for the presidential debate, they were just, it becomes numbing after a while. i will say this about florida. the good news, the bad news is you're yelling deluged with ads. good news you can well decide this election. and you know, my early policies including one in panhandle and western part of the state closed by 8, 8:00 p.m. on election night. if trump doesn't win florida he can't win the presidency. i suppose numerically. but in practical sense if he doesn't get those 29 electoral votes he doesn't have a relistic path to get to 270. he could gem them and still lose if she wins florida, it's over. >> yeah. something, in the break before
happened that on my phone, my phone has lighting up with latest employment numbers. unemployment falls to power.9. 161,000 jobs added in october. i remember the time when the candidates especially presidential candidates would wait until last unemployment numbers would come out right before the election. it just seem to be a huge issue this time. >> no. it doesn't. it's interesting because i just saw them i'm here in the fox news studio in new york as i just saw the numbers come across too i was thinking in so many elections that has been the key issue. but you know, this election this one of the reasons it so disspiriting. if you leave believe attacks both candidates are it's choice between a creep and a crook. so either, it's donald trump's conduct in temperament or ethics and honesty.
