beautiful fall saturday great for football by the way. good evening, i'm dave kinchen. thank you for staying up late with us f you've been outside you could not help but notice a major change in the weather. we've even seen snowflakes in allentown. and you know the wind, well it's not helping matters either. many places are under a wind advisory tonight. for more on this major change in the weather let's get over to meteorologist mike masco. >> mom nature will certainly smack us around the next 36 hours across the delaware valley look at ultimate doppler i want to show you right around trenton that's thunder sleet gives you an idea of how churned up atmosphere is and we are seeing the snow as you get up north and west especially up towards i80, it 78 corridor right around allentown mixing over with some wet snow. we have reports across the region of just a light dusting of snow and even closer in as you get around say lower merion norristown upper providence we're seeing light to moderate snows coming down.

not really expecting much in the way accumulations this is going to be quick thumping of snow as it pushes up towards the north. the big show is going to be up towards northern new england and upstate new york there are winter storm warnings forecasting around six to 12-inches of snow. i for see as you get around the i80 corridor if you're going to the north, up around the pa/new york line know that things could deteriorate rapidly. one to 3-inches of snow highest elevations may kick up around 3-inches the big story here in the delaware valley will be the winds. right now 15 to 20 miles per hour wind gusts. but that's going to change through the course of the overnight and into tomorrow. winds will actually increase and for that reason we do have high wind advisory across the entire fox 29 viewing area. that means these winds could kick up the cold will be out there. check this out. 15 to 26 degrees tomorrow morning waking up. all day long spent around freezing freezing and by sunday night, six above it will feel like in mount pocono.

link on brad sattin, fox 29 news. >> tonight still no arrest in yesterday's shooting of off duty police officer in north philadelphia. officer angel row romero was off duty and unarmed near tenth and parish streets when a small group of teens began firing at each other. the officer shielded his two-year-old son until the gunfire stopped. his son was not hurt. but the officer was shot in the finger and rush to jefferson university hospital. he is expected to make a full recovery. a man is fighting for his life after someone shot him tonight in frankford. police found the man just after sick p.m. on bridge and hawthorn streets. they say he is 33 years old and someone shot him three times in the stomach. police rush him to hahnemann university hospital where he is in critical condition this evening. detectives are searching for clues that may lead them to the shooter. and more violence in northeast philly to night.

police are searching for a man who they say stabbed his brother and sister. it happened around 6:30 on the 7200 block of large street. police say the suspect stabbed his sister in the hand and his brother in the head. the woman is in stable condition. the other victim with the slash to his head fled the scene. so did the suspect. police say they did find the weapon. ♪ donald trump back on twitter tonight. he is demanding an apology from the cast a broadway hugh my sa . >> vice president-elect mike pence was booed by the audience and lectured by actor brandon victor dixon of hamilton. broadway show uses rap and hiphop to tell the story of alexander hamilton while highlighting the strength of american's diversity. at the end of the show dixon read a message from the cast

many of us in philadelphia have come to know as the start of the holiday season. today fox 29 got a preview of christmas village this year it does have a new home. it's the city hall courtyard. 80 international and local merchants along with artists set up shop in those famous wooden houses. selling unique gifts for the holidays, and christmas village is modeled off of a german holiday market this year. the market has a carousel in the middle with 20 wood carved horses. coming up dozens of local families will have thanksgiving dinner on the table and it's all thanks no one man the incredible donation he made and he did so anonymously. and this art combined philadelphia sports history with its past today. you'll be able to take some of his artwork home soon.

♪ here's mummers tradition you might not know about. today members of 38 different brigades gathered to help homeless and needy veterans this thanksgiving season. the mummers have been collecting canned food, clothing and other necessities all month long, and today delivered them to the veterans house in west philadelphia. it is the third year the mummers have had this campaign to give back. well today in one philadelphia neighborhood it was like secret santa but only for thanksgiving. anonymous donor is making sure dozens of families will have a dinner this thursday. fox 29's jennifer joyce has more from wissahickon. >> 150 families we started the

first year in 2008 with 30 families. >> let's go guys. >> this year we're at 150 families. 3,000 pounds of turkeys. $22,000 worth of groceries. >> reporter: you'll hear his voice but you won't see his face or know his name. a mystery donor and dedicated team of volunteers spent the day dropping off bags of thanksgiving groceries to feed 150 needy families. >> they really enjoy being part of something, you know, bigger than yours. >> reporter: at wissahickon fire company the recipients is the kelly ann dolan memorial fund which coordinates grocery offs to families most of whom caring for sick children. >> you told me something i didn't even know. that's fantastic notice that's where he going. >> reporter: he donates blindly generous toll a total of five organizations trusting the holiday meal make its way to the most deserving dinner tables. >> it means everything to them. otherwise they'd be going to soup kitchen this way they can

cans this winter. let's turn back to the fox 29 weather authority right now. a live look in reading where it's a chilly 40 degrees but the wind has it feeling much colder than that. meteorologist mike masco here to tell us more about what's in store for tomorrow. mike. >> yeah, winds will go crazy as we go into the overnight and into tomorrow especially. here's a live shot looking into old city. it's not much outdoor dining with northwesterly wind coming in at 17. 39 degrees temperature means it feels like 30 degrees right now. we'll wake up with temperatures feeling like it's into the 20s tomorrow. look at that. some thunderstorm reported along 206 just north of trenton ultimate doppler showing us how the rain was in here two hours ago. and then it quickly turned over to some wet snow. especially as you get north and west right around, say, i-78, 80 corridor north of allentown, scrap ton that will be a spot that may get around one or 2-inches of snow. here's the storm system sitting across the great lakes produced a blizzard yesterd
