It likens her journey of becoming a bride (despite her traumatic past), to then transition from just a bride, who is interested only in her personal upkeep and enjoying the palace, to one who must risk her life, because of a mission. She must put on her royal apparel, and act as Queen in order to save the lives of all of the Jews. As part of Ester's activity she must engage in prayer and fasting. This message spends some time on encouragement to pray, and the importance of prayer.
In like fashion, we make our way into God's kingdom. We become His bride, and enjoy the palace. But there comes a day that we become aware that we have an urgent mission. We must get involved in spiritual warfare. There are real lives at stake. There are real casualties. There are real deaths.
