This paper aims to present the connection between the Philosophy/Theology of History and the ideal of humankind training from Religion as a pedagogical proposal in “The Education of the Human Race” by G. E. Lessing. By linking the education with the process of revelation occurred both in the individual and in the human race, this study interprets Lessing’s proposal as an educational process, which can be demonstrated by the strong influence that it exerted on the Germany process of educational reforms between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
