This is the 10th in a series of Raising Positive Children forums, “Helping Young People Thrive in a Screen-Filled World,” held at the Charles F. Dodge City Center. (technical difficulties correct after opening) This forum included a film called “Screenagers: Next Chapter” which examined the science behind a teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and what can be done in our schools and homes to help youth build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety and depression in a digital age. Due to licensing, it will not be shown in this video - please visit screenagersmovie.com for more info.
Following the movie, Dr. Steve Arcidiacono, a Florida licensed psychologist, published author, and speaker who is currently treating children and families with behavioral and emotional concerns at Boys Town South Florida’s Behavioral Health Clinic, made a presentation and answered questions. Those in attendance also had an opportunity to visit with local community resource groups in the lobby to gather information and ask questions. The next Raising Positive Children forum will take place in the Spring of 2023.
