This is a collection of unmixed single-microphone tracks. It needs to be mixed before listening. I wanted you to have the chance to mix it however you like it, in any combination.
If you are looking for the regular download or would like to hear my mix, visit

Track list for each set:
01. Shotgun center - This should be kept in the center of the mix. Used with Figure-8 for mid/side mix.
02. Figure-8 L/R stereo track - This must be kept at hard left and hard right. Bringing them towards the center will cause cancellation. Used with shotgun center for mid/side mix.
03. Cardioid left - can be anywhere in the left side of the mix, probably between shotguns and omnis.
04. Cardioid right - can be anywhere in the right side of the mix, probably between shotguns and omnis.
05. Shotgun left - can be anywhere in the left side, probably inside the cardioids.
06. Shotgun right - can be anywhere in the right side, probably inside the cardioids.
07. Omni left - can be anywhere in the left side, probably between the figure-8 and cardioids.
08. Omni right - can be anywhere in the right side, probably between the figure-8 and cardioids.

I really appreciate this. My first Grateful Dead show was in 1973 at RFK Stadium Washington DC and I have always wanted to create surround versions of a Dead show. At that show Phil played through four huge stacks one for each string on his bass located about the fifty yard line. They called it Quadraphonic back then. Phil played with the echos of that stadium during Playing in the Band. It was so cool but it is virtually impossible to recreate that. Now, if you had the separate tracks of his bass...
Anyway, one question I have about your recordings is why is the right side of the stereo figure 8 out of phase with the left? They appear to be the same right side audio just out of phase. If those two are played together and mixed to mono they cancel each other perfectly and there is no sound.
I have placed all the files in Sonar and I can mix them into 5.1 surround which is Front L/R, Center/Sub woofer and Rear L/R.
Can you suggest which tracks should be in each of these channels based on how the mics were placed at the show?
What I have so far sounds excellent but I wanted to get it right before I posted it on the web.

One of my Bluebird Bridge pages is in surround. The music in the videos was recorded by my wife and me then mixed into 5.1 surround. You have to hook a computer up to a surround receiver or convert them and copy them to a DVD to hear the full mix.
