For the 650th broadcast recording posted on FM Radio Archive, I wanted to pay tribute to the San Francisco Peninsula , which uses the 650 area code in San Mateo & Santa Clara counties. I spent 32 years of my life in that area code, and I searched for a concert that would best represent the area. This is it, the venue and some band members are from the San Francisco Peninsula . I attended many Dead concerts, and also several Shoreline concerts. The Grateful Dead in concert at Shoreline...

FM radio broadcast of Linda Ronstadt from The Record Plant in Sausalito. Broadcast live on KSAN-FM, San Francisco CA. Not one of the tighter live shows from KSAN, this is more reminiscent of the early days of "underground" FM radio. Here's a rare treat, a concert by the last band featuring Jerry Garcia with Merl Saunders, Reconstruction . This band was founded by bassist John Kahn with Merl, and Garcia participated when he was available. This is the only band I'm aware of where Jerry was more of a side man than the main attraction. This concert from Rancho Nicasio in San Rafael was recorded by KPFA-FM in Berkeley in March 1979, and may or may not have been broadcast at that time or a later date. Reconstruction: John Kahn...

DJ Victrola brings you the best guitar players she can find in two hours of good old fashioned radio. Spreading the Gospel of Guitar since last century! Host of the Guitar Shop since 1996, Victrola has lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. Bitten by the radio bug at an early age, Victrola had very brief radio stints while doing other things. In 1996, while hosting another show at KBVR in Corvallis, she came up with the idea of the Guitar Shop and launched the show in June of 1996....
