Extract from a recording of Jakartan masseur Mbak Narti at work. During the massage, Mbak Narti belches and screams to indicate the supposed release of tension, and other bad stuff. This causes some embarrassment to the owner of the house, as the screams can be heard from the end of the street. Belching is quite a common feature in these massages, the screaming however seems to be a recent and arguably unnecessary addition to the service.
