His Majesty the Sultan is well-known for his love and care for his people and is himself well-loved and revered by his subjects. They regard him as their protector and provider, and this can be clearly seen through the various services provided free by His Majesty's Government, such as pensions scheme for the aged, free education and medical services for citizens and assistance in many forms for widows, orphans and the disabled, not to mention special monthly allowances extended to all civil servants in addition to their monthly salaries from the Government.
