The “Iroquois” Pipeline Company wants to drastically increase the amount of gas they push through their existing 37 year old “Iroquois” pipeline, which runs from Northern New York (including the Capital District) to Long Island and NYC. By a 6 to 1 vote, the Troy City Council voted against requiring a full environmental review of the proposed 1011 2nd Ave project that will put a large apartment complex on one of the last undeveloped parcels on the Hudson River in Troy which is sacred indigenous site. Gary Pavlic died unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center on September 22, 2021. He was an accomplished public servant who held positions with the N.Y.S. AIDS Institute and the N.Y.S. Department of Health. Gary was an activist who worked tirelessly on behalf of Troy's residents.
