DESCRIPTION

Theology Digest was a scholarly journal published quarterly by Saint Louis University. Founded in 1953 by Cyril A. Vollert, S.J., and Gerald F. Van Ackeren, S.J. at the Jesuit divinity school, St. Mary's College in Kansas, it ceased publication in 2010.


Each issue featured summaries or brief abstracts of selected articles from over 400 theological journals in eight different languages. It also contained a book survey covering over 200 books. The fourth issue of each year also included abstracts from selected lectures, including the Bellarmine Lecture Series, which was sponsored by the journal. 

 

The Internet Archive collection contains microfilm published between 1953 and 2010.
