News and political analysts Glenn Smith (right) and Roy Casagranda regularly join Rag Radio host Thorne Dreyer in dissecting the news. Today they're taking on the Russian War on Ukraine. This show is being broadcast from the KOOP studios for the first time since July 3, 2020. During the pandemic shows were pre-recorded on Zoom.
Among topics discussed: How did we get here? What are the events that led to this moment and that inform Putin's motives? How has the war unfolded? How much of this is the result of U.S. foreign policy? Are Putin's complaints legitimate? How does this end? Why do Trumpsters and some leftists support Putin?
Also: The effect of Ukraine on our politics -- for instance, knocking crime news off local news coverage. Meanwhile, slightly diverging from the war: the crazy mood of the electorate. And the Abbott follies.
