Originally written in 1969 by Carlos Marighella, one of the leaders of the Brazilian guerrilla organization National Liberation Action (ALN), the Mini-Manual Of The Urban Guerrilla is probably one of the most famous documents to come out of the guerrilla struggles in Latin America. Widely reprinted and translated into numerous languages it because a guide for many guerrilla movements around the globe. Stories & Strategies of Survival

two texts by Comrade Parvati of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) with commentary by Butch Lee It is time and again seen that women masses do come in a tide to participate in revolutionary movements producing some potential women leaders. But this tide along with the prospective women leaders seems to recede once the revolution is completed or is defeated. The chief reason behind this phenomenon is the existence of the concept of private property. As long as private property remains women...
Topic: Women's Studies
In a way, it is clearly artificial to try to isolate the role of women in any series of historical events. There are reasons, however, why the attempt should still be made from time to time; for one thing, it cannot be assumed that when historians write about "people" or "workers" they mean women to anything like the same extent as men. It is only recently that the history of women has begun to be studied with the attention appropriate to women's significance-constituting as...

C'est bien parce que tout est politique que cetter réflexion sur l'intimité est logique. La politique est l'organisation de la société. Ali Khalid Abdullah is a New Afrikan (Black) Anarchist prisoner, who was convicted in 1989 of "assault with Intent to Rob while Armed." He was sentenced to 10 to 20 years. This came as a result of him and other comrades attempting to enact Peoples Justice against a major drug dealer who allowed one of his drug workers to sexually abuse an 11 year old girl as "payment" for the little girls' mother's drug habit.

Critical Race Theory starts by asking the same questions about race, racism and power that a myriad of academic disciplines and activists have pondered for the past century. It draws upon critical legal studies and radical feminism in the formation of its approach. While it is primarily concerned with the legal arena, it is activist in nature and has come to include political science, education, American and ethnic studies and more.

This beautifully-drawn comix collection says, "Welcome friend; rest your feet. Things are going to be okay." Awesome Future is positivity incarnate-but it's not a mindless feel-good trip. This is a positivity that knows things are kind of effed that we're up against a wall most days, and that fighting the good light is a noble, important thing.

The police try to get us to believe that they are all-powerful and all-knowing. Cobblers! If we use our heads we can run rings around them. I hope that you find this information useful, and that there is something new in it for you. If you think more things could be included, or said better, feel free to produce a version of...

We are Class War Anarchists. We believe that a conflict must go on between those who work for a living and our enemies who get rich off our labor but, do nothing until those who live off our labor are laid low and the society with power and privilege based on wealth and class is abolished in favor of a free society based on mutual aid, voluntary cooperation and personal freedom and responsibility. We advocate the methods of Revolutionary Syndicalism to win the class war against the corruption...

Some will read "queer" as synonymous with "gay and lesbian" or "LGBT". This reading falls short. While those who would fit within the constructions of "L", "G", "B" or "T" could fall within the discursive limits of queer, queer is not a stable area to inhabit.

This pamphlet was produced to make available information about the recent working class struggles in Argentina as these were among the most important in the last few years. "Picket and Pot=banger Together: Class Re=Composition in Argentina?" first appeared in the 2002 issue of the excellent annual British communist magazine Aufheben and seems to have been completed in late September 2002. It is the best article about the Argentine revolt that is currently available in English....

What's punk mean, anyway? I've been thinking a lot about what punk is and what role it plasy in life. Punk is somthing that an outsider just cannot get. They cannot understand why you would drive 9 hours to play a 15 minute set for 10 bucks and 20 kids. Or why you sell cds for 5 bucks when the rest of the world sells them for 15 or 20. And why the hell we still make records.

...Today it can be said aloud that dungeons are dungeons, cages are cages, and that nothing can be done about those who are locked in, since the main thing is not to do them good but that offenders be banished inside the national borders. They are purely and simply suppressed. This is wjhy short prison sentences appear inept and totally meaningless. Long prison sentences, on the contrary, correspond perfectly to a collective desire to murder. We eliminate bothersome people, like any crook...

Maine's forests are vast and beautiful, supporting human and non-human communities alike. Yet, their story is one of corporate colonization and ongoing oppression. This reader is meant to shed light on some of the forces at work in the Maine Woods and the effects they have on the state, and to inspire a desire to fight and protect our forests and their inhabitants from the powers that be.

To understand the nature and value of Kroptkin's work, one must realize several things about him. In the first place, he was a noted physical geographer, as well as a trained agriculturist, and was widely read in biology and sociology. In the second place he was a lifelong revolutionary and a communist-anarchist. Both these facts directed and determined his principal book, "Mutual Aid,"

The bullet that pierced Alexis's heart was not a random bullet shot from a cop's gun to the body of an 'indocile' kid. It was the choice of the state to violently impose submission and order to the millieus and movements that resist its decisions. A choice that meant to threaten everybody who wants to resist the new arrangements made by the bosses in work, social security, public health, education, etc.

None of this is very dramatic. The logic of outright withdrawal is doubtless more compelling, and it is certainly more carthartic for the person who avows it. But I must remind the reader of my purpose. It was to outline the course of action that would work-that would meet the requirements of the largest number of people concerned, including the largest possible number of Americans, and would not depend on a favorable reaction by the opposition.
