Since the aperture control part of this lens is inside the front of the lens, it is necessary to look into the camera from the front to control the aperture. And it is a stepless operation method, and it is not easy to control because the projection is small. The part for focusing is also inconvenient to operate as it is only a sawtooth finish on a small metal frame. This video is about the design, output and assembly of the lens rehousing to improve these points.
This is designed to be fixed with grub screws(M4 x 4mm) to prevent incomplete mounting of the housing due to 3D printing material problems. And the front filter adapter (40.5mm step-up ring) also serves to secure the housing front element.
40.5-43mm and 43-62mm step-up rings (filter adapter) these rings (filter adapter) are essential for holding the front of the housing and adjusting and setting the aperture. Do not omit this!
In this video, 40.5-43mm, 43-55mm, 55-58mm, 58-62mm step-up rings were used superimposed. The rehousing front part is designed to interlock between the 40.5-43mm ring and the 43-55mm ring.
The aperture can be manipulated by turning the front of the housing. (It is an inevitable choice due to the structure of the jupiter-12 lens)
The rear housing part has no special function and can be omitted because it is only used to decorate the appearance. And on the Contax RF/Kiev mount, a Leica M mount conversion adapter was used.
