mike leonard brought us touching stories about his family over the years. he lost his dad on tuesday at the age of 94. >> jack leonard was a world war ii veteran who lived by the philosophy that it pays to be nice to people. most of all he was a family man -- husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. >> mike often features his dad jack and mom marge. most recently his dad went to a blackhawks game. his dad was honored as a veteran and i think it meant the worldle to jack and mike to have the experience. >> one of the great moments, one of the great stories mike told with his parents was when she shared their cross-country trip. marge and jack were just -- you know where mike gets his warmth, his humor. >> right there. >> mike also had an opportunity to learn about his parents in a way he never had. he's reflected on how important that was for the family. >> he said over the years so many viewers came up and said, your parents are so much a reflection of our own parents. so true. we all see a little bit of our own family in his family. >> yeah. he
