i'm thomas roberts and we begin with that breaking news in the amanda knox trial. the family of murder victim meredith kercher just held a news conference in italy. they say meredith has been forgotten during this trial, and they're speaking out to keep meredith's memory alive. the kercher family says they just want justice for meredith and are leaving it in the hands of the jury. >> i can't think of any reason w why. in terms of the truth, the evidence is obviously there. the police and the judges and the jury all that, so we trust in them and we just have to wait until this evening to see if it's upheld. >> right now a judge and jury are deciding whether to uphold or overturn knox's murder conviction. speaking fluently in italian this morning, knox cried, i did not kill to the jury and pleaded with them to give her life back.
