george kiriyama is on the scene at an apartment complex in san jose. george? >> reporter: the last agents left about 90 minutes ago. this huge methamphetamines grab happened, right here. near the woods apartment complex. let's show you a map. this is a large complex, located at the corner of snell and capital expressway. dea agents and san jose police, and palo alto police seized 750 pounds of meth in this apartment unit. you can see the garage has been tagged with signs. notifying the neighbors about this seizure. palo alto detectives have been looking for stolen ipads. and their search led to them the woods apartment. as they were executing a search warrant, they found what appeared to be a huge amount of methamphetamine inside the apartment unit. they uncovered what looked like a meth conversion lab, where meth was being converted to crystal form. the street value for that amount of meth, $34 million. >> it's believed to be one of the largest methamphetamine seizures in u.s. history. basically boxes and boxes filled with bags and bags of methamphetamine. >>
