right now we're in the oakland hills. behind us you can see some of the damage sparked by the grass fire that started with that downed power line out here. you can see from the black soot on the ground where the fire kept up the hillside, and around the fire line there is a fire hose still out here. no one was injured in the fire. it does serve as a reminder about the continued fire danger this weekend. about 100 oakland firefighters worked along the park and cal firefighters to put that fire out in just over an hour. we are now two weeks into the fire eason. firefighters across the state are preparing for this warm weekend. >> it's the wind, i think. it's the hot, dry, temperatures and the wind, especially the north wind because the north wind is a drying wind and when you get a fire going, the rate of spread is much faster with a north wind. >> reporter: calfire now has some of its aircraft on stand- by. they have 22 tankers ready to respond. the conditions are the driest one says in decades. there is a red flag warning
