it will be the main issue. >> around st. louis, we didn't have the storms, but we felt the winds, gusting up to 75 miles per hour. it's a lot of wind energy with the storm system. we are seeing the rain into michigan and indiana. around indian appo lis there's a warning. tornado warns are up in indiana and western kentucky, not seeing the warnings lining up like earlier. we are seeing some storms weakening a bit. the tornado risk is sticking around through the evening. the tornado watch here and into indiana doesn't expire into 8:00 pm, extending east into ohio. we'll watch this closely and the wind energy is across missouri, kansas, and we have wind advisories in place. as far as the rain, it shifts to the east. look at the damage reports that we have seen. a lot of wind. the tornado, and reports of hail, upwards to an inch in size and diameter with storms that moved through illinois. there was a tornado around boom county, the threat is diminishing a bit. places in advance of indianapolis, around cincinnati. that's where y

so they started at st. louis and they went all the way to oregon which at the time was the louisiana purchase basically. the louisiana purchase pretty much stopped where they started getting into the mountains, and that's when they started meeting with tribes that they really didn't know were out the. so they were doing a survey for jefferson, what their mission was. it would've been 1803-1806 were the years they did the expedition. there were many years in preparation for it, but we go 1803-1826 the use of the expedition. jefferson picked meriwether lewis because he was his private secretary when he was president. lewis at captain clark because they work together during the whiskey rebellion and they become friends and i believe the line that lewis is when he chose clark was i would prefer no one else other than you to cocaptain this expedition with me. although clark never did get the rank of captain at that time, he was always called captain. and lewis insisted he get the same thing when they got back. s

the route split into the various trail heads at st. louis, sadalia, independence, westport and kansas city. also branches to baxter springs and other towns in eastern kansas. in use as early as the 1840s, drovers began to encounter trouble there in 1853 due to the texas fever i mentioned. suddenly drovers were confronted by vigilance committees of local farmers and prohibitions enacted by the missouri legislature banning texans in indian territory cattle from the premises. drovers took their herds up the eastern edge of kansas for a while. but, began, increasing opposition from farmers who induced their territorial legislature pass a protective law in 1859 thwarted these efforts. during the civil war, the shawnee trail was virtually unused. but in the spring of 1866, trail traffic resumed and an estimated 200 to 260,000 longhorns trekked northward. although some herds were forced to turn back, others managed to get through. while still others were delayed or diverted around hostile settlements. with six states enacting laws in the firs

a vietnamese man in st. louis in 2011 and a homeless man in september. this video shows the suspects walking away. attacks have been reported in at least four states and the district of colombia in the last three years. just this month in brooklyn new york, two elderly women were attacked. police are investigating at least one of those cases as a hate crime because the victim is jewish. despite speculation otherwise, authorities say there is no evidence so far that any of the attacks are racially motivated. in philadelphia police say a group of teens jumped a passer by walking into this pizza joint. police arrested a 15-year-old and 17-year-old in that case. the victim wants answers from his attackers. >> it's not like they are going and getting anything. they are doing it for spite, for fun. it's not good for a neighborhood or for any community. >> reporter: in some cities r police are reluctant to link it to the knock out game because the evidence doesn't support it or a concern that bringing attention to it will breed copy cats. >> the press named it
