we have got sunshine in east sussex. the pictures sent in earlier by our weather watchers. a beautiful day ahead in northern ireland. a lovely picture there from county antrim. you can see where we've got the cloud in eastern and central areas and even in the south—west, but the further west you are, the more likely it is that we will see holes in the cloud and the sun will come out. hardly a breath of wind as high pressure continues to dominate our weather. that will have an impact on the feel of the weather along the north sea coast line. it won't feel as cold, but there will be a bit of cloud at tiles. as we head on into the afternoon, the patchy rain across the northern isles will fringe into the far north of scotla nd fringe into the far north of scotland and with the rest of scotla nd scotland and with the rest of scotland will continue with a fair but of sunshine as indeed will northern ireland. for cumbria, lancashire and cheshire, you can expect sun sheuvenlt as we push down the east coast towards the midlands there is a fair bit of cloud around. south—west eng

this one is interest east sussex. there is more cloud around. it's a grey start. across some northern and eastern parts of the uk that's what it's like. we have a fair bit of chancellor george osborned. we've got cloud around the midlands, some of that will burn away and we will see sunshine, but we're going to hang on to a fair bit across the north and the east and the chilly feel under the cloud exacerbated by the wind. drift further west and we're back into the sunshine and temperatures picking up nicely to 16 to 18 celsius in south—west england. the same too across wales. some lovely sunshine from the word go and carrying on into the afternoon. yesterday in northern ireland, had its warmest day of the year so far with temperatures getting up to 21.1 celsius in county fermanagh. across north—east scotland there will be cloud at times. the same as we head down to lothian and the borders but for the rest of scotland and northern england we'll hang on to the sunshine. we have got the cloud towards yorkshire and lincolnshire and derbyshire and the south coast.
