this is the phoenix convention center. you can see trump supporters still going into the rally which begins in an hour. often, there has been taunting between both sides. the people walking into the rally, and the people here. right now, they're chanting "no kkk, no fascist usa." quite a multicultural turnout here, old, young, white, black, latino, native american. we also see those people going into the trump rally, but not nearly as many of that representation. bull but people are waving, giving the finger on both both sides. a lot of nastiness to go around. one thing that stood out to me, during the campaign i would hear donald trump rallies say he's a great yun unifier. what you seeing today with the possibility of more people being outside this rally than inside the rally, this country certainly isn't unified. it may be as ununified as any time since the vietnam war. what we're hoping for, anderson, is so no violence. when this comes to an end, that could be when the people come standing out in the thousands and meet

and there is phoenix, itself. arizona is a red state but phoenix is not necessarily solid red. the democratic mayor of phoenix has been saying for days now, that the president shouldn't come to his city, shouldn't do this trip. the phoenix mayor said today that the president has, quote, doused racial tensions with gasoline with his planned visit to phoenix i fear the president may be looking to light a match. democratic leaders in arizona are expressing concern that the president might use the phoenix rally tomorrow to announce a presidential pardon for joe arpaio. the sheriff was convicted of criminal contempt for carrying out police raids targeting immigrants even after a judge ordered him not to. sheriff arpaio could get up to six months in prison for that conviction. the president has been saying that he is seriously considering a presidential pardon for sheriff arpaio for that contempt conviction. the sheriff says he is not planning on attending the rally tomorrow but he has cleared his schedule. >>> ahead of the trip the president has spent a week accepting resignation le
