richmond turns into a debacle. it becomes one thing after another because they do not want drunkenness they break open all of the whiskey barrels and pour them out. you have people lying in the gutters drinking all of the whiskey. they decided to destroy the government stores. the confederates would set them on fire. the fire got out of control. what happens when you wait a fire near ammunition? there are explosions. heart is burned out. the flames are stopped just shy of the federal capital....
