philadelphia, south jersey, temperatures above freezing. we're starting to see the rain that had fallen overnight change into snow. important because the warmer that ground is, the less likely we're going to see accumulation. and not really expecting a lot in south jersey. it's the timing of this system for the morning commute that's a problem more than anything. the atmosphere is cooling down that colder air is making some steady progress moving into the area. so it's starting to show on the radar that it's starting to change over from rain to snow. it's already happening in philadelphia, too. we're still getting some rain drops mixed in. but it's steady light snow into the suburbs and lee high valley. nothing heavy about this snowfall. and it's not going to be heavy during the day. it will be coming to an end during the day. a look at the progress it'll make this morning and when it'll finally move out. meteorologist crystal fly has been standing by with an update. >> the totals aren't going to be impressively high. let's take a live came

breaking news in south philadelphia. this is where an explosion and a house fire took place. the action cam is live on the 300 block of gladstone street in south philadelphia where things are under control but what happened here is that neighbors reported hearing an explosion and when fire crews arrived at the scene they saw some windows blown out of a row home on the block and smoke was coming from the second floor. it is unclear what caused the explosion and the fire, but fire crews did evacuate some neighbors as a precaution. so far no reports of any injuries with this explosion and fire in south philadelphia. >> president trump will deliver his first state of the union address tonight before a joint session of congress. the president is expected to tout his accomplishments including tax reform. he also told reporters he'll cover immigration and trade. there are a handful of democrats who plan to boycott the speech. others in attendance plan to bring guests note to reference political issues like dac can the me too movement. john rawlins is in washington so look for his li
