it's going to be very very hot all weekend long so let's check in on the 4 zone forecast with lawrence karnow excessive heat around the bay area, the hottest temperatures of july about to settle in now of course it's a really kind of caught on an awful week we've been dealing with 90's even some triple digits throughout the week at least in the valleys and that's what we're going to see the heat again this weekend yet anywhere inland. it is going to be hotter even inside the bay going to be very into the afternoon. so not only there but around the state we're going to see a that heat dome settling in and some of the temperature in the central valley may be a sob as a 110 degrees so very hot temperatures ahead, but that fog. gayle mention that you want to stay cool, you head to the big difference in temperatures maybe 40 degrees cooler out toward the beaches this weekend as we're going to see enough of the sea breeze to keep it cool 70's in the san francisco 80's in oakland that hot 90's into san jose air quality as we mentioned going to be a problem a spare the air for the weekend. as

chief meteorologist lawrence karnow joins us now with the very latest and we want to find out what these high temperatures and i mean in terms of fire danger certainly going to cause a more was fuel to dry out quickly more the brush is going to dry out we're not going to see those big wins that's probably the biggest concern with the fires. >>we're not have those certainly get some brush fires going it is going to be blazing hot, here's a look at some of the temperatures as we head into saturday look at the triple digit heat showing up into livermore you can soe that in dublin pleasanton ca occurred and the oc very hot temperatures away from the media coastline. so that's why. he watches are going up as those hot temperatures going to be settling in over the bay area and that will be the hottest part of the weekend is a saturday and sunday we're going to see the temperatures soaring and these numbers are really going to be oppressive away from the coastline, but it's going to be a huge break down up toward the beaches. you have enough of the sea breeze only 60's out toward the coast, but

heading our way so let's check in with our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow for details lawrence, yeah, guys got a look at these temperatures right now you know on a summer night when you see numbers like this tomorrow you're going to be pretty toasty in spots in the still 80 degrees right now a little more 75 in san jose 84 degrees in concord 82 in pittsburgh course got the cool weather right along the coast, but that's about it these temperatures staying pretty toasty especially away from the coastline in many of the valleys and that's where we'll see that heat again over the next couple of days still going to stay hot. there may be cooling down just slightly tomorrow. then we really going to see the heat as we head into the weekend little hazy out of the bay right now no to fog forming just yet and they got only coast or not to see much in the way of fog tonight. in fact this is where it gets interesting high pressure building in overhead and that will be the case over the next couple days we do have another weak system that's going to pass by that may be just enough to weaken

karnow is here and he says warmer temperatures are coming sure are we a lot of clouds this morning all around the bay area today but by the afternoon we saw that sunshine kind of giving you a hint of overlooking san francisco actually not bad to mostly clear skies there. >>as we look toward other business district in the san francisco, but we are going to see a lot of sunshine coming our way and some warm temperatures to as high pressure takes over numbers warming up today right around the average in san francisco, 67 degrees 75 a little bit above the average in oakland 77 degrees in san jose 82. in livermore 87 in concord in 82 degrees in santa rosa. storm clouds some making their way up in the pacific northwest see the rain moving through here and continue to see some of that this evening, more widely scattered showers a storm system kind of begin to fall apart. it's a pretty impressive to see that come through at this time of year and summer but nonetheless that system is falling apart high-pressure begin to build in across the state now fog certainly seeing some of that along the c

karnow and ah i guess we're living up to that whole heat thing right here we're going to feel in the heat, yeah, i mean israel was hot today, but these temperatures really going to soar think in the next few days. given the weekend right now little haze out over the bay, mostly clear skies around the bay area as we get ready for another warm day tomorrow though we may just cool slightly near the coastline temperatures right now we've got 50's along the coast, some fog trying to form in half moon bay right now, but it is still 84 degrees right now in concord 79 in livermore 85. in antioch so some of warm air is already working its way into the state may back off just slightly for tomorrow 60's in the san francisco mid 70's in oakland and some 80's in the san jose but after tomorrow i think we're going to see these temperatures go right back up again our quality will likely suffer a little bit to uh not too bad tomorrow along the coast of the bay. we're still looking good we'll see some haze and plumes building up in parts of the east bay and the south bay but over the weekend with tha
