character that makes san francisco, san francisco. we don't want to be manhattan. well, i don't want it to be manhattan. or wherever places people come from. they think that's a better choice. so again, i don't want to go on and on. but basically, we'd like to see growth. we like to see area plans be accepted. the fact that none of us on the west side have been able to do area plans is mainly because we haven't had any resources. all the resources in the city in the last few decades -- forever -- decades, have been concentrated in this area for good reasons, but still, you have to open up the purses to make sure we have resources that we can actually plan for these things on the west side. i'm glad we're starting a process of supervisor fewer and supervisor mar, we're looking at those issues. and so given all that, you know, i would be supportive of senator wiener's bill if he could make some of these amendments that gives us opportunity to make a choices, to figure out how to increase the housing stock for our areas. i don't see anyb

i've always felt san francisco was my home, not san leandro. i'm living there again, unfortunately, even though this is my favorite place, it's not that affordable. but i do want to thank all the trans community for believe in homobiles, primary, for the stories you tell, like donna persona was reminding me, when she got into the car, and other people were telling me the terrible things that would happen to them at the hands of other public forms of transportation drivers, and i did not realize at that time was homobiles was a necessary serve and continues to be necessary, sadly. and i hope that we as a community can continue to inspire all forms of transportation around the world to step up and, like, raise standards and not allow any kind of violence against our communities. so thank you very much. i appreciate it. as new residents into san francisco. one of the focuses of mission education center is to really provide parent education and support parents in supporting their children. and like i said before, adelina is not just a regular parent liaison, she is amazing. she is -- in the time that i have been there, she has got to get trained in a program for families to learn about supporting their children in literacy. she has gotten trained as a triple p, which is positive parenting -- i forget the other p, but a positive parenting workshop, and the parents come in, and they learn about different ways to parent their children here in the united states because it's different than in our country. she has also done -- which we started last year, a family latino literacy workshops, which is a series of ten workshops that our families come from, and they get books so they can start libraries with their students -- with their kids at home, and they learn about teaching their kids reading at home and becoming -- and loving books. so it is

of workers in san francisco. i am excited to take care of the important educators in our city. we don't have a formal presentation, but i want to mention that city college and the board commissioned the housing survey of our faculty, staff and students in march of 2019. it showed we have a deep need for housing. about 125 unitses for employees and 693 beds for students. we have already made plans at the ocean campus to develop housing at the current parking lot east of our football field. we also are hoping that through this and other entities we will receive funding and resources to build and start thinking about building housing. as our aging staff is set to retire, especially classified staff, it is important to recruit the next generation of workers at city college. it has been tremendously difficult to recruit staff to work at the city college because they can't move to san francisco. it is expensive to stay in san francisco. it is almost impossible. i know the school district faces the problem of recruiting
