mark, what do the markets say to you? mark: the markets are saying a lot of things. it has been a crazy day in the asia session. generally a risk of versions -- a risk-averse session overall. then taiwan, the collapse in the stock market there. we see a recovery from the extreme risk aversion earlier in the day, but overall it is generally negative. anna: so pretty negative. we've got numbers coming through from the u.k. economy. seeing headlines that tell me the u.k. economy grew by 2.1% in march, the month on month number . the estimate was for an increase of 1.5%, so that is better than anticipated. hence we get a better than anticipated number for the quarter, but not by much. we are seeing contractions on the quarter on quarter number for gdp. for the first quarter, the actual number, a contraction of 1.5%. the survey was 1.6%, so that is a little better at the margins than we had anticipated. bloomberg markets suggesting the focus is going to be on the second quarter rebound. the u.k. economy expected to rebound because of the successful rollout of the vaccinat
