one of your fellow committee members, liz cheney, republican, tells politico that meadows will sit down for a formal deposition next week. is that the case, can you confirm that? what are the critical areas that meadows potentially can shed some light on? >> well, the chair and vice chair commented on this. i am not going to disagree with the vice chair on this. what i can say is again production of documents and sitting for the interview is an integral part of what we asked for mr. meadows and what the engagement with his attorney has yielded. both those documents and interview, i won't get into the timing of that. but it is important, all of this is important because there are things we can ask him to glean into what happened january 5th and 6th, even outside of conversations that he had directly with the president. the types of involvement that he had on the campaign side, all of that is incredibly helpful because ultimately there was clearly evidence to show they were working to decertify the election and planning to delegitimize safe and fair election process. those are all things

if liz cheney were voting in virginia, there is no question she would be fine with a glenn youngkin. the reason is because he hasn't been a threat to democracy. it's not as if republicans like that are looking for democrats to vote for. because they believe in conservative ideals or even independents are looking for people who are speaking to them. the show stopper for a lot of those republicans is the way that the former president did and continues to fundamentally undermine the constitution with his lies about the election. so, what glenn youngkin was able to do as david said, he didn't have that connection and was sort of able to stay away from it, is run as a traditional republican, the kind of republican that we pre-trump covered scores of campaigns just like that, talking particularly when you are trying to run up the numbers in suburbs, talking about low taxes, talking about education and choice and education and things of that nature. yeah, a nod to the cultural wars that are also an animateing issue, depending on where they are. the question is whether or not that can be rep
