the shuttle was coming down 18th treat and making a left on hartford when the pedestrian was struck. the woman's body has not been removed from the scene. what is puzzling is why the muni driver made a left on to hartford, it is a narrow street and does not lead anywhere. it is essentially a dead end and the residents in the area say they never remember a bus turning on to hartford street so that is one problem that police and muni officials are trying to figure out. we have seen the driver, the driver is sitting in the back of a police squad car right now and he has turned up his collar to cover his face. we are told that police will be making a statement shortly. we have been hearing that for the last 20 minutes but they have not come out and said anything official. we can tell you that 18th street is closed around hartford so cars in the area should not come down here or plan on using a detour. so the place is still very much a fluid situation. we are trying to figure out what happened and how this happened. when we get more we will pass it on. channel 2 news. >>> a 4-year-old boy
