so you -- right now you are endorsing gingrich or nobody? >> i like the way gingrich through pelly out the other night. let me tell you this, we have scott pelly bracing newt gingrich on a decision that barack obama made. barack obama offed that guy by drone. newt gingrich didn't but i guarantee you if pelly ever has barack obama right in front of him, he will ask him the initial question, probably. but as soon as he starts making his answer, you are not going to hear pelly come in not by a court of law, sir. not by a court law. the guy who actually killed al-awlaki would not face the grilling from pelly that a g.o.p. candidate faces. is that crazy or what? >> bill: it's interesting, that's for sure. now, the occupiers at the beginning of the program we said they are done. even mayor bloomberg now doesn't want him around anymore. once he gets to that level and kwan, that mayor of oakland, kwan, she has thrown him under the bus, too. i think they are through. do you think they are through? >> listen, they had to go from zuccotti park and i ha

gingrich. so, gingrich competing with mitt romney in most of the polls. why do you see him as a long shot then? >> because, for every other candidate who rose and fell, as soon as they rose, they became a target. up until now, gingrich wasn't a player, at least in the polls. so that people didn't go after him. there wasn't scrutiny in the press there weren't attacks from the other candidates. and he has got baggage. i'm not talking about the personal stuff, i find that distasteful and i don't believe in preaching to anybody. but i'm talking about the ideological hairs hair heresies. for example, in the 1990s he supported with the heritage foundation, an individual mandate for health care. now, of course he changed his mind. he has got explanations. that's a fact. the other thing that i think is rather deadly is an ad he cut with nancy pelosi, of all people, a few years ago in which they are sitting on a couch and they are talking about global warming being a real and threatening phenomenon and how governments have to do something about it. >> bill: he bel

newt gingrich. he has said, look, we should be turning our ire and our focus on the failed economic policies of this president and the fact that the state is currently in a terrible rate of decline. not talking about china and how we can grow this economy and compete with growing emerging markets across the globe. meanwhile, obama gets to skate. he has made that point i think very well. he has gotten a lot of notice. this has built gradually for gingrich. i would watch newt gingrich very closely. i think cain's campaign has slowly become a little bit more disciplined. on this story it took a long time to get more focused and a little bit ahead of it they have had a difficult few days no doubt about it i know they raised a lot of money, bill, it doesn't look like a well-handled crisis to me. >> bill: cain supporters are angry that he is getting harr poond like this so they are sending him more money. you make a good point in the sense that mr. cain's campaign has to get better. you don't -- that ciga

also newt gingrich coming up here behind you. he is experiencing something of a surge nationwide and also in the state of iowa. do you think think there is room for a third candidate, that might be an alternative to either cain or romney? is there room for a candidate to sort of come up the middle and grab this thing? >> well, prachings, what i really think is the position that cain holds in the race has been held before him by several others including for period of time michele bachmann and before that donald trump had a run up in the polls. the conservative base of the republic party is restless and looking for an alternative to mitt romney who they don't really think is one of them. and that, they have sort of elated in a serial fashion one candidate and then the other. my sense is that someone else may be eligible if cain falters. who knows, he may, his campaign maybe a bit mistake prone. he may falter. when he does someone else may emerge. newt gingrich would have a chance of picking up some of that vote and will be the romn
