governor, nice to see you. >> hi, greta. thank you for having me on. >> governor, i understand you and some other governors have written the super committee in washington about some of their expected or intended cuts. what have you written the super committee? what do you want? >> specifically republican governors have talked to the super committee and written them about making saves in medicaid. medicaid is our biggest entitlement program for states by far. earlier this year republican governors published a report of 31 solutions that would improve the quality of medicaid while saving money. we brought that back to the attention of the super committee and said we know the country has to save and spend less and we are willing to do our part. here are some ideas. count on us to help save but police don't shift costs from the federal government over to the state government. we can save money but cost shifting is not saving money. >> did you get an answer like that's a great idea or let's talk or we will consider it or that's a

>> greta, it's a serious charge. the allegation is one that could up-end his presidential campaign and i think the reaction that he's had to it when he said that unlike the harassment charges, which he denied, he said this was a private matter. in essence, he may have given an answer that will be very difficult for him to work himself out of. i think this is the most damaging allegation that has been made to date. no question about it. >> can he recover from this or is it over? >> the voters will decide, but i think right now the voters will probably be shopping for someone with less trouble, with less controversy, and that's why you have seen newt gingrich rise to really compete with mitt romney. but it leaves an opening for ron san tore rum and michele bachmann, who have not been in the personal controversy. i don't think people wanting to through next year's election with a person that is not fully vetted and they will have surprise of a surprise in a personal way. >> now to the other issues. why can't congress do

what's going on with this country, greta, is beyond belief. so i don't think you think i am surprised to hear this. >> i don't think you are surprised. each candidate, i know, obviously, you are unhappy with the president, but each candidate brings to the campaign a different strength. in terms of dealing with opec, which candidate do you think would be the strongest or the one that would be the best? i realize there are many issues. but what about just opec? >> well, i think the one that is spoken about the most is mitt romney. i have been watching the debates. i will say this, though, the saddest part of the debates is that they talk about jobs. and everyone says, we need better education, we need better this, better that. but they don't talk about how other countries are stealing hour lunch. it's never brought up in the republican debates. it's never brought up. at what point do they say, we can't continuously have our products and everything manufactured by other countries, with the biggest culprit, of course, being china. and to give you
