what we saw in the same area that is more scary for people, it appears at some point a tornado in the moore, oklahoma area not as strong of a tornado but that scene is scary well. still have a volatile situation going on now. tornado warnings in affect across parts of central illinois now. towards lake ramsey. so mostly we're going to see strong winds in this system. could see smaller tornadoes with this. very heavy rainfall across missouri. in areas over 10 inches of rain. you might see another four to fiveñr inches of rain. big flootding concerns here and flooding concerns down around oklahoma city. you have tornadoes moving through started in the el reno area, now about six hours ago. take a look at this very heavy rain still falling here. that means big time flooding going on and there have been many storms and so much heavy rain. it's hard to get in to assess the damage. so it's going to be until tomorrow when this rain let's up. we're going to watch flooding concerns right around oklahoma city area and that is flash flood warnings going on. flash flooding across oklahoma city. toward

not anything like we saw with moore but there has been damages to homes, to buildings. our huge concern yesterday was we saw a lot of people basically trying to out-run the storm. i think they were so worried what happened in moore, some of them left their houses and went on the highways, going to churches and office buildings, libraries, whatever might have had a better underground structure and the major interstates were clogged up with miles and miles of cars that were not moving, stuck in traffic. the storm, as we could see from the news, and the weather, was barrelling down through those areas. it was a very frightening time. >> it must have been very frightening for those folks trapped in their cars indeed. once again sadly we're hearing about the loss of life in your state, including a mother and her baby. what are they saying about the loss of life and injured at this time? >> caller: we have heard the mother and baby were actually unfortunately sucked out of their car and were found in the debris field close by, very very sad thing. the medical examiner's offic

had we seen an ef-5 like we saw in moore move over oklahoma city it would have been devastating. we were possibly seeing an ef-3, ef-4 that moved through this area. with all those folks on the highways at the time. i want to show you the satellite about 24 hours ago. really these storms just erupted within a matter of hours. you can see this is the satellite imagery. there is oklahoma city, just some scattered clouds here. as we get into the 5:00 p.m. hour there is the dry line. that's the trigger that triggered some of these explosive storms and we likened this to a pot of boiling water that has the lid on it. the lid just flew off and the steam just came arising from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. really within a matter of hours, explosive storms not only in the oklahoma area but all the way up to missouri and illinois where we have also tornado reports, 12 reports of tornadoes, over six states confirmed tornadoes. the risk continues today, unfortunately, across portions of southeastern oklahoma through arkansas up toward illinois and indiana looking at the potential for some very gust

occurred the only thing i can think of is because of the situation we had a couple of weeks ago in moore. i think people were trying to get away from it. and i don't think that we have really seep that before. like we've had this time. usually people get underground, there were a lot of people milling around and going look at things and the bad thing about that is wed had a lot of rain, e had 8 to 9 inches during the tornado and after that, a lot of flooding and that was the problem trying to get first responders around the town. >> you know, mayor, you are talking about what particularly what is going on interstate 40, where at least two of the known deaths occurred, a mother and her infant. i'm wondering whether it's getting sore of oklahoma residents sort of like a nervous change of heart about even living in the area? saying, you know twice lucky, i don't want to risk a third time. what is the mood of folks there? are they just saying enough? >> well, i think if you look at oklahoma, we have been through a lot. we are resilient. i do not get the sense that all the peep want to leave.
