/san rafael bridge, actually it's a nice loop all the way around through marin county, southbound 101 all in the green this morning. so yeah, i was going to say that the bay bridge wasn't quite as backed up at this time yesterday since -- or this time today as we saw yesterday but they just turned the metering lights on at 5:44 this morning. so right now you can see some of the delays beginning to build but not too bad right now. it is starting to get a little crowded up the incline. we were relatively problem-free yesterday maybe slightly bigger backups than what we're used to but for right now we're just seeing those delays begin. mass transit great options. no problems on bart, ace, muni and caltrain. that's the latest "timesaver traffic." for more on your forecast, here he is, here's lawrence. >> starting out with some patchy, dense fog this morning, visibilities down to about a quarter of a mile in the napa valley, half a mile into santa rosa. so if you are stepping outside right now, still some fog to contend with early on this morning but by the afternoon becoming mostly sunny.

if you are traveling through richmond/san rafael bridge, tapping the brake lights closer to the toll plaza but southbound 101 looks great through marin county. the last time we showed you this traffic shot we could see the lanes change trucks moving past the bridge. they should have four open now in the southbound direction and it continues to look good towards sfo. that's the latest from here in the "timesaver traffic" center. with more on your weekend forecast, here's lawrence. >> it should be a gorgeous weekend all around the bay area. i think even along the coastline we'll find some sunshine and maybe some temperatures there in the 70s. so how about that. we have some great weather coming our way on this friday as we are setting up and looks like some much hotter temperatures on the way. couple of patches of fog to start this morning, otherwise mostly clear inland and then mostly sunny and warmer getting a little hot in some of the valleys and that summer heat getting cranked up over the weekend. some of the temperatures near 100 degrees in some of the valleys. low pressure kicki

right now the richmond-san rafael bridge showing speeds a fraction below the speed limit as the volume builds coming over from the richmond side. this ashby avenue area starting to show surface street congestion as folks head over to university. this entire stretch has been very slow for the last couple days ever since the bay bridge reopened. it will probably continue for the next week or so as folks probably head over there. if you didn't have to take the bridge but you could, a lot of folks are doing that because it's such a spectacle. we have the configuration changes a little bit. these lanes may just look cleaner. there's also an issue. you can't cut between these lanes because the plastic dividers are there. we see a pattern lining up on the ride as you approach the toll plaza. it may again be an issue because the dividers are there. watching for this continued pattern. across the span, a nice smooth drive as well. around the bend and all the way over toward treasure island, there's no major issue. but right around this bend, as you get near this canopy of cables, folks slow a b
