commissioners i'm paul scott. i live in the neighborhood of julius castle and have for longer than i care to remember 15 years or so. i just wanted to speak to a couple of items. in terms of my involvement with this building i care about my building i'm the former president of t hd and was the president of save our neighborhoods where we have the america's cup facilities today. i'm a lawyer will i profession but i've done property work on the filner's steps - i'm not sure how to operate this. that's not the after but the before picture. and we did some work on that place which isn't coming across well. we restored that building to the pen of the neighborhood and also to the satisfaction of the folks who were concerned in a historically done fashion. we're coming from the prospective of trying to do the right thing. we want to restore to the historic use. when i bought the people i was told about their prom night or first job interview and the vast vast number of people wanted it to be returned to that use. the rea

(clapping) >> hello everybody can you hear me okay. >> i just wanted to say a few words about this space and a introduce ourself. it's been about a year when tom and linda first brought up this space. so in that year it's been interesting to us because all of the offices this is our third office and this is great that we can keep the feeling for the get hub space. it was band for several years so they were relationship everything out so we had the opportunity to think about what we wanted and what we wanted to use the space for and to build it from the ground up. it's one of the oldest buildings this is standing after the fire in san francisco. this was build in 1905 and add a story a few years later. you can see the monitor you can see the waterline only about a block away from the street and there's a rail line that went into it as you guys noticed as you're walking around the space today, you'll see we recreated sort of a rail line in the concrete in the aeshlth pace in the in fro

i'm going to ask the supervisors we have london and eric mary and scott wiener my district looking for the target store. there it is. i wanted them beside me so we can be distinguished from the dog. i'm happy to be here. not only has target been such a great partner and i know we were together about a year ago to date where we opened the downtown store to the great delight of a lot of people. we had a great formula target had already worked with the mission call and the west side group and the work and development and produced a clear number of jobs and hired san francisco residents and today they've done it yet again. it's been demonstrated, you know, tiffany went through the legacies with the fluoroscopic goals the library and the constant attention to our youth which target target is finding comfortable to be doing and they're there fouror summer jobs. this store will have over 4 hundred jobs maybe up to 4 hundred and 50 and 80 percent of their hires to date are san francisco residents and that's a whiff accomplishment. i know our supervisors enjoy hearing our residents getting hire

parents and family puts in 40 hours of volunteer work at the school to make an it work >> my name is scott. my sons and i have been part of the creative arts family since 2004 when my oldest son entered kindergarten. by the time each of them had entered kindergarten it was pretty clear that special education was going to be in the works and low and behold two of them have a special needs. i suspected that. i was afraid that a private school would let my boys fall through the crack and 10 years later i'm happy to say i was wrong. my boys have received all the tools to make them successful. i believe believed that cac s arts destruction has been a support for the abides. i've also felt the incredible support from the staff and i'm here to declare the strong support for the reluctant of our charter. i'm monica my son goes to the charter school. cac helped to get my child to accept the challenges that are required of him in high school. cac provides my child with the safe learning investment. he's bend and it gives him a deeper understanding of what he's learning. sorry >> that is the time. wh

having had many conversations with scott smith from robert sub she, i don't know if he had a chance to get here. he's here now. i'm glad to say that scott has shown greater personal participation with 53-54 and i believe he's already seeing some successes of that working with local contractors on 53-54 who are not competitive on the 50-51 bid. working with robert sub she we have broken the packages down even smaller than 50-51. partially due to the fact that it allows you to do so because of individual buildings, but we felt that given the lessons learned from 50-51, if we break it further down, we can perhaps increase participation at the local level. we are looking for teaming opportunities between local sbe's and established companies to bring the local contractors, the necessary competitive bidding knowledge and management expertise. in addition to robert soeb she and butler enterprises and cheryl and terry and patrick, i assure you that lawn ar management are engaged in the community and trying to learn from our lessons of 50-51 and implement procedures from the knowledge we gain
