he's a 61-year-old marine corps veteran from stockton. when paramedics arrived, he was still conscious. when asked why he would try to catch somebody from that high up, he said he didn't think about it. he just did it. all of this unfolded last night right after the raiders/titans game. we saw the ambulance trying to get to the coliseum. the woman jumped from section 301, an upper deck area above the south end zone covered by a tarp and closed to the public. the good samaritan who tried to catch her was by the flag poles and the al davis flame. she jumped 50 feet to the pavement after fans pleaded with her to stop. >> we were going on the air. all of these people were running by. >> you could see people running by. >> reporter: the good samaritan suffered serious injuries. he's credited with saving her life. the woman is still in critical condition. deputies have not released any identity but we do know this is the first year the man bought season tickets. he says he's been coming to the games from stockton since the 1950s. back to you. >
